Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury needs his own movie....A real though out good movie
No
NOPE, give us the 616 universe version.
No fucking way. The original is always best. David hasslehoff played him best.
@@rageoftheredphoenix I understand that but fsr I can't unsee him as a black man.
@Giovanni Balbosa-Mc Intosh they basically are the same character with just a race change
Samuel did such a good job on the character.
@The Credible Hulk Well, you're credible.
Vincent Dilworth did you really just call Samuel L Jackson, ‘’Samuel’’?!?!
He always does a good job, his mothefukas are legendary amongst the other actors
@@felixwithnomau8883 Ofcourse "English motherfucker do you speak it "is iconic too
@The Credible Hulk hello, ever read about EARTH-1610!? That version of Nick Fury looks like Samuel L. Jackson
David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury is based on Comic Book counterpart, and Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury is based on Ultimate counterpart.
And now the White Nick Fury is the father of the Black Nick Fury
I am absolutely stuned!!! I just can't believe you talked about Nick fury's best Arcs and didn't mentioned
"Nick Fury's Secret War" .
Damn!
"And knowing is half the battle!"
I so love that line!!!
Sam Jackson actually took the infinity formula. That man is 70 and looks 40
Black don't crack
Epic Adrian 3D for real
I understand how he lost his eye...how do you explain him turning into an afroamerican??lol
Multiverse
hes 70 WHAT THE
Ultimate Nick Fury and Miles Morales were the best things to come out of the Ultimate Universe.
@Smokeweed D Bear ....And I think we all can agree that the crazy version of Moon Knight was the worst thing to come out of the Ultimate Comics. (He wasn't over the top crazy in the original comics and he never had multiple personality disorder).
@@RamsTheNameCom lol compare that to Ultimatum, it makes Moonknight the best thing compared to it
@@KingInfernagon Every issue of Moon Knight after the Ultimate comics felt like it was from the Ultimatum comics (hyper violent for no reason, the characters are written wrong, deaths for no reason and with no impact, etc). The difference is since not too many people know Moon Knight well, anyone's first introduction to Moon Knight from the new comics will lead to them loving the character just fine.
Just like if someone who never heard of any Marvel superhero before had their first introduction to them from Ultimatum comics, they'd like those Marvel superheroes just fine. Because they don't no any better.
Smokeweed D Bear and Batman
@@RamsTheNameCom If my first intro to Marvel comics was Ultimatum, I would not read Marvel comics lol
No mentions of the David Hasselhoff movie version? At least he eventually made it back into Marvel in one of the best ways.
Adam Porter indeed
I'm more surprised you haven't done Nick Fury till today 21 Feb 2019.
Tom Cruz good day to do anything
One must read you left out is Fury: My War Gone By from Garth Ennis' MAX run. Awesome read.
Joey Falanga yes!
One of the best comics ever written
Ooh original Nick Fury's got that big boss look.
The pic of Cap punching Hitler in the face kills me everytime I see it!
9:00 great addition of that GI Joe clip as I’ve always thought of The Joes as the evolution of the Howling Commandos.
Keep on my dude you always got the best vids and best time lines
Classic Nick Fury is one my favourite Superheroes .I mean do the Sam Jackson Nick Fury ,But I grew up on classic Nick Fury .Who Ould show up everywhere in Marvel ,But mostly in the Iron Man comics. Back in the day .And would give old Iron man hard time .But cool as always Arris .
Love this channel!!!
Awesome. Thanks.
Very cool episode. Thank you for this. With Captain Marvel coming out i can't wait to see it and this Nick Fury (MCU Version) will be interesting to see his backstory.
Do History of “The Question” please🙏
thank you!!! this video puts things into proper perspective about NICK FURY!
The white Nick Fury was historically the most popular depiction of him in the 1990s and most of the 2000s there was even a live-action TV movie in 1998 starring David Hasselhoff. The black Ultimate Marvel Nick Fury based off Samuel L. Jackson became really popular in the latter part of the 2000s and 2010s to the point the main continuity would have its own version of him. Nowadays, not many people know about the classic white Nick Fury as his black Ultimate Marvel counterpart has overshadowed a lot.
you know how long iv been waiting for this
I remember playing this Punisher beat 'em up game, where the 2P character is Nick Fury. Old school lol
I love you variant
Love the vids😊
Nice video man
I really hope they bring back the OG Nick Fury. Honestly I think what they did with him was...weird. Like, making him the unseen was pretty cool. He was out killing old gods and keeping the earth safe
I just think more interesting stories can be told with him now if he's brought back. I can imagine Nick Fury Jr chasing Nick Fury Sr around, do some cool spy stuff
Funny enough, as the Unseen, Nick Fury can see the future, the past, alternate timelines/possibilities and all possible outcomes of events. For the ultimate spy in history, thats OP. So if he ever comes back, imagine what he would be capable. The Watchers did not think that punishment through lmao
@KILLMONGER was RIGHT and mine..and maybe thousand ppl from around the world
@Outlaw By Nature STFU, you SJW lackey.
loved the Gi Joe reference Noice
Ultimate universe reading recommendations? That’s funny
dope vid.
now THAT would be epic
How about the sandman series from Vertigo? The one by Neil Gaiman
Gigi Pamp anything from Virgo comics
What happened to the David Hasslehoff version of Fury?
Wait, does that mean Nick Fury is Star Lord's Dad!? 😂😂😂
@@cooltrainervaultboy-39 Starlord's dad was Kurt Russell so no
Never heard of her.
Also maybe a part 3 to talk about The Vault cuz it ties into SHIELD and cuz we kinda saw mentions of The Vault in early as Xmen Last Stan when Magneto breaks out the Juggernaut and in DP 2 he is actually sent to the real Vault.
I though we'd never get this. Thank you good sir.
History of Akira Fudo/Devilman/Amon from the Devilman Anthology please. Except Violence Jack, which it's not canon and stand out as an alternative universe and spin-off to Devilman.
Nick Fury.... Changed race like Darth Vader...😁
... It was a joke that I thought of... Nick Fury was white... But somehow he became black (Samuel L. Jackson).
A. Skywalker was white... But became a huge black man (Dark Vader) on the outside... What next. Superman.? Wait! Michael B. Jordan.. Human Torch also...
Nope he's still human.
@@ChrisPPotatoIDC is human includes in any type of races?
Disrespected Fury in Captain Marvel
thank you!
You should do a history of u.s. agent and taskmaster
Is it weird that it brought me joy to hear Variant mention one of my other favorite channel rooster teeth
I never knew that the comics mentioned sam jackson 6 years before he actually played him 🔥😂 W
Man,I always remember maining him on Marvel Ultimate Alliance after finishing the game and replaying the game with him added on the team
My Uncle had the comic where Fury got is eyepatch, and I read it as a kid too many times to count. BTW, please do a history of Kid Colt!!!
Freaking excellent man and
Can u do gargoyle Isaac version
Please do the History of the Skrulls
Love your videos, vrv not available in UK.
A Nick Fury live-action movie starring Sam Jackson would be nice!! Great Video too.
Please do Dr Doom origin if you haven't already
I've been asking that and magneto history for like weeks and Arris hasnt even noticed
Nick Fury Jr is counterpart of Ultimate and MCU Version
How fury lost his eye in every thing else: war injury sustained from saving his men’s lives
How he lost his eye in the mcu: C A T
Lets just say it nick fury has the best jackets
Mad one
Damn you beat me to it. Good deep dive. I was actually putting together a piece for N Fury.
I would do a part two cuz the history of SHIELD is a big part of his history. SHIELD has gone by 3 different meanings with the same acronym. I think the 3rd is the one we know of today being made fun of in the 1st IronMan film.
Also from what I have found he is not totally blind in the patch covered eye but has lost 95% of his vision. It is important to note this has not hindered his combat skill or effectiveness. Also begs the question why he has not gotten it repaired with having such techno advance friends and superheroes like Tony Stark and Reed Richard's. I have only read Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD but other than his missions through out we start by seeing Nick F train in an what I can only describe as almost "Danger Room" type of simulation and still ask for an increase in difficulty level! So I would not mess with this pirate.
He will also abviouly forgo the eye patch in disguise when performing espionage type missions.
It is also important to note that the MCU version is not the only one to hit the big if you think of it as big screen but David Hasselhoff took on the role in 1998 called Nick Fury Agent Of SHIELD. Have not seen it but it seems to cover the fall of SHIELD do to the LMD event where it was revealed that Hydra really created and in control of the first SHIELD the hole time.
I like this
History of Poison Ivy please thank you!!!!
I really wanna see you guys do the History of Man Thing. He's obscure and interesting and is apparently in the MCU
Yay captain marvel and captain marvel
I never thought we would have gotten a history of the man behind creating the avengers himself. Great episode.
I'm a fan of the original Fury but this host only gave a small third of this video toward him and didn't even get into how the comics gave this character its life . Yeah he was Sgt. Fury during WW-2 that was outstanding during the early 60's then in the mid 60's with the Bond craze going on Kirby created him becoming head of SHIELD . These comics were very cool as into the first run Steranko took over and drew some marvelous art that many still copy and many collect . This host spent most of the video toward his favorite , Jacksons version . I enjoyed Jacksons cinematic version of Fury and have no complaints
Thumbs up for the og, but down for the use of the later version in the MCU.
Thank you sponsor
Please do history of Hawkman or Hawkwoman.
Can you make the origin/history of SHIELD or SWORD please... Plus commander abigail brand of sword too
Every one should know that fury is highly level combating and tactician expert marksman it's just a shame we don't get a chance to see him in action as much.
They actually called Sam and asked if they could design the character after him.
Im pretty sure it was more like the man called them
and started asking why his entire character was on a comic without his notice
I think what we all want a history of episode of is the most important character in Captain Marvel...GOOSE!
Can you do a video of Maria hill?
the more you know was priceless lol
Do History of SGT Rock please
It's Samuel L. Jackson version of Nick Fury in Ultimate Universe and real-life version in MCU.
Arris bro why you didn't mention David Hasselhoff Nick fury agent of shield? Did a history of Bruce Wayne agent of shield
I'm big fan of you❤🔥
One of fury’s origins need a movie
Do a History of the Umbrella Academy!
Surprised it took this long
I love the mcu Nick Fury and I think samuel L Jackson is awesome as Nick
Everyone calls me FURY!!!
NOPE, wrong universe Fury, supposed to be The 616 (the white one) version first, then after the snap, intro the 1610 (the Samuel L. Jackson lookalike) version, would have made alot of old and new fans happy, with the representation of both versions.
History of GI Joe please!!
I was pretty sure the canon version of the acronym was,
"Strategic Hazard Interventions Espionage & Logistics Directorate".
I know I read Vison say that.
EDIT: I was right the name was changed in 1991
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.H.I.E.L.D.
Dark-Slayer its division but I knew it wasnt as stated.
@@Carlthatkills Nope I was right its Directorate.
Changed from Division in 1991.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.H.I.E.L.D.
Supreme Headquarters of International Espionage Law Enforcement Division. That was the original acronym
History of umbrella academy!!
I thought the films came first, then the ultimate universe came in and the creative team on the comics based Fury on the films.
History of A.i.m &Hydra please.
You missed out Jonathon Hickman's run of Secret Warriors for reading recommendations.
History of red skull please.
It's good to know that he was known as sergeant Fury that is the other version cuz I thought it was a case where he was always known as Colonel Fury. But if they have a system where it's hierarchy then that can probably give me an idea of timeline for which comic is that is Iron Man that I was reading long ago
Love this. I have to say I think the original version is the Fury is the best. If it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it.
Could you guys do a history of Umbrella Academy? I like the show so far but have no idea where they are from and whatnot.
Will you do a history video on the umbrella academy
Has Marvel films shown Nick fury super strength because I haven’t seen it in the movies that i can remember?
Hey Variant Comics and Arris Quinones can you please tell the origin stories of Tigra, Wonder Man, Reptil, Squirrel Girl, Songbird, Daredevil, Elektra, Inferno, Mockingbird and Ava Ayala the female White Tiger I would really appreciate it
3:16 what about Major Maple Leaf? ?
For some reason,I always thought MCU Fury was Nick Fury Junior, based off the fact that he mentioned his "grand-daddy" (which I thought was his way of saying his Father). He said that his grand-daddy was strict, cautious, and never trusted people,as he says he always had a gun in his Lunch Bag,and if anyone ever asked about it too much he would show what was in the bag he would immediately assume they were untrustworthy and blow their brains. And if you knew a secret,cult-like organization that would fit in that timeline, you wouldn't trust anyone wh could be an assassin.
We want clone of Nick Fury, Nick Fury Jr needs renamed Mike Fury.
By the way welcome back brother.
Alien cat: *I’m finna end this mans whole origin*
Marvel changed what the name means in 1991 to Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate but now it means Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division for all Marvel Comics Shows and Movies so Arris is right but also wrong now you know and knowing is half the battle
Wait, after all of that, I wanna know about 'The Unseen'
Can you do a history of for the villain of doom patrol
You forgot that badass max story
It’s funny Captain Marvel and Shazam are kinda close to coming out the same time and Shazam original name was Captain Marvel
11:50 HE LOOKS JUST LIKE EGO
