Kingpin in my opinion is one of the most underrated villains in Marvel. So happy he's a huge presence in DD, Vincent D'Onofrio does such a good job
I would not call him underrated. More overlooked these days in favour of Thanos. He is a very popular villain and one of my favourites.
Underated?! He's been in Spider-Man ps4, into the spider verse and daredevil in 2018

I honestly think that Kingpin is an underrated villain in marvel.

Why do you think he's underrated? I find him incredibly boring.
He's actually a somewhat pivotal character to Spider-Man in the comics, and Daredevil as well(Although I don't know to what degree). It's just that it's a bit harder to fit him in the big screen stuff as it's usually a more-or-less experienced Spider-Man who goes up against him. If you watched the 90s animated Spider-Man cartoon you'd definitely remember him popping up quite a bit.
90s spiderman the animated series is what got me into comics and superheroes when I was younger. I wish they'd release it in its entirety on bluray

I'd also recommend Spider-Man Back in Black, seeing how Fisk messes with Peter's life is insane... but Peter's response is mindblowing.
The man-handling he gives Fisk is how things were supposed to go down since the 60's.
It was honestly amazing to see Peter brutally beat down Fisk, in front of all those criminals.
You both are completely correct. It just shows how dangerous Spidey would be if he stopped holding back all the time. And the results... Spidey is one guy you DON'T want to mess with.
He was holding back even back then. Were he not, Fisk woulda been picking his innards up from the prison walls.
Fisk in the 90's animated, and in the first decades since his debut, was clearly superhuman. It was entertaining - but silly.

My favourite line about/from him is from the beginning of the last spiderman game, where he yelled something like "2 months! In two months you'll wish you had me back" while being arrested.
A short line but tells you so much story. Meaning that as morally bad as he is, he is still a boss that holds the crime world in control.
The Kingpin is 6’ 7” 450lbs and can lift (press) approximately 650lbs, he has big ass hands; the official handbook says Kingpin has never once been Convicted; he has been jailed before but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence, he’s my fav Villain

I wouldn't say by a lot, the cartoon also makes it so Kingpin seems a lot less capable of being formidable...the cartoon doesn't portray him as well-educated or super strong, so I's say I like the comic better, the only thing I like about the cartoon is the father-killing trope thing, but that's it
FWC Disciple kingpin was pretty formidable in the cartoon. Arris even said Kingpin was skilled in computers which was how he erased his criminal record

I got an issue where peter is wearing his Spiderman suit with no mask.. Kingpin is in prison and Peter goes to that prison and beats the shit out of Kingpin like he was a child, just to show the rest of the inmates that he was just a beatable simple man.

I loved Jason Aaron's take on Kingpin in his Punisher: Max run. It gets damn dark -- same with Bullseye.
Back in Black is also a pretty good recommendation. It shows how Kingpin can really mess up Peter Parker's life and Peter's reaction is CRAZY
Having platinum’d PS4s Spider-Man, I have to say that game was one of the best versions of him I’ve seen along side the animated series

90s X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and the JL/JLU that followed were the best. Easily the golden age of comic book adaptation animation.
They were the launching pad for all the movies we see today. Spider-Man series introduced me to Blade, Capt America, Iron Man and even Daredevil.

Kingpin is one of my absolute favorite marvel villains ever!!
Kingpin's character is one of the many elements that made Spiderman TAS sooo good. Shame we still haven't gotten a DVD or Bluray release of the whole series.
May I also highly recommend Punisher Max: KingPin. That arc along with Bullseye, Frank, and Homeless culminate into what I think is one of the best comic stories using Fisk.
Don't miss Spider-Man: Back in Black. This really changes the whole story about spidey fighting kingpin

I've always found Kingpin to be one of the more intriguing and sophisticated characters in the MCU. He's super rich, completely ruthless, has a genius level intellect, and can handle himself in a scrap against most heroes. Because he has so much pull in the criminal underworld, you don't wanna get on this guy's bad side what so ever or risk having your family go missing.

As someone who has grown up primarily with DC, especially Batman, mobsters have always been one of my favorite enemies for heroes to fight and when it comes to Marvel, Kingpin earns his crown and then some in my opinion.

I remember fighting this guy in Spider-Man 3 the video game.
He was a MONSTER! This was when I was a kid and knew nothing about him. Suddenly here comes this big guy in a white suit giving Black Suit Spider-Man the business. I was so confused. I was like “Who is this guy!”

90s cartoon spiderman was the best Spidey era. I don't think it was a Saturday morning thing as much as it was an everyday after school show. Fisk is one of my favorite villains

Loved the kingpins origins from the Cartoon series as well. I thought it was dark. I was even surprised that Fisk was even okay with talking to someone about his past. Many crime bosses I know in TV and video games would often kill those that asked about their origins
