listening to this while finishing an assignment due in 3 minutes is oddly relaxing
It really is
So basically this video is the extended version of what happens in the search for that key
Well... i'd say the other video is the short version of what happens in the search of the key; this video is more gameplay accurate :D
The last key also known as the " how in the... aaaaaaaa.... did i miss that small chest not once but multiple times, without it even noticing
No, this is the original, they had to cut it for time.
Still at least 5 hours shorter than it should be.
Why did I make this my second dungeon
Not to mention I had a rougher time with dark link because I had no megaton hammer
@@happyhippoeaters4261hmm. i'd say a few months
The Last Key is always the worst... Why are we still here.... Just to suffer...
Lol true facts
its laboryus...........but not the worst :D
You can skip using one key on the door at the base of the middle pillar by save-warping back to the start of the temple, jumping to the second level, and lighting the torch around back with Din's or a Fire Arrow.
So sorry I couldn't inform the younger versions of people reading this.
@@NaviListen good to know for future OOT playthroughs
@@NaviListen exactly😃😃😃😃⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Link had to pack his headphones because he knew it was going to be a long day in the water temple.
And surprisingly, they are waterproof
@@riusakitenshi the waterproofing isn't the surprising part, it's that the audio isn't muffled in the water.
@@acezero8132 well I'll be dammed, you're absolutely right
i would to
I love how it looks like Link just keeps coming back to the same room, because I remember doing exactly that…😂
Yeah, the architecture certainly didn't help players navigate it when every room looks the same.
Everyone did
Ah yes, the calming sound of losing my goddamn mind trying to find that one single key. Truly a relaxing sensation.
We making it out of the water temple with this one
Yeah but it may take some time 😂
@@TheNintendoFan_100*eleven years later*
@@Big_bluestarFINALLY 😂😂😂
Not in 10 minutes we aren't
“7 years later”
Link's ear twitch gives me life
ah yes, relaxing despair, my favorite
thumbnail is best part of this video
Agreed
Lofi Link
Although it would be nothing short of superfluos in the actual game itself, I find the fantasy of Link having a magic saferoom he can summon anywhere in dungeons to recollect himself and plan his next moves extremely comfy to imagine.
He just straight up trapped navi in a jar
MIDI beats to stress / find keys to
I love how in the thumbnail link is so freaking annoyed
This reminds me of that one time I was playing a tabletop Zelda game with a friend.
We had to explore almost the entirety of the Water Temple trying to find the Boss Key. JUST the Boss Key. _So. Annoying._ Props to them for recreating the experience in a tabletop game, I guess-
Damn I gotta do this in my upcoming zelda ttrpg
Wait, Zelda tabletop? What system did you run? Sounds interesting.
@quaintgentleman344 idk what system their using.
But I'm using a heavily modified version of D&D 5e
@@quaintgentleman344 Played it on Tabletop Sim, although you can print. Tabletop is missing an expansion, though (which I actually might go back to porting now, kinda feeling like it).
Either way, it's TLoZ: Clockwork Realm.
The thumbnail is amazing.
I love how his face somehow manages to be a perfect mixture of anger, sadness, annoyance, hate, impatience, pain, rage, discomfort, and the feeling of wanting to blow the entire temple up.
Edit: Welp, guess this thumbnail became my profile picture. Though it may be temporary because I change profile pictures a lot.
...I like the sleeping Tektite. Its like Link and it finally came to an accord, so it can sleep peacefully.
The 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F on Link's map just makes me think the water temple is a hotel full of shrieking spiders
Inacurate. The real water temple takes at least 5 hours.
I’ve only found the key after a several years long break. Younger me was convinced I broke the dungeon. During those years of incompletion, whenever oot water temple was brought up, I was haunted by memories of spending hours doing exactly this, haha
0:59 --- Link's head moves perfectly to the beat.
It sure does👍
It sure does👍🏿
You are cruel but fair, Terminal.
Tough but fair
I feel like the 10 hour version would be accurate for my first real clear time on this dungeon.
Maybe that was the first extended music we all heard long ago?
I love the lofi thumbnail reference!
_pauses are infinite, stopped counting, end my despair please_
-the terminalmontage closed caption editor for the episode
I’m ashamed of how long it took me to realize this is looped but the music is very soothing, so I’m blaming the music.
We getting childhood trauma with this one
I was trying to find this song on CZcams. This makes things more convenient
THANK YOU! I really liked the music and just wanted to sink into it. But link had to keep taking off his shoes :/
Metroid games be like when you can't find the last missile expansion:
Instead of listening to a refrigerator hum for 10 minutes to help me sleep, I rather hear the triggering strings and flute keep me awake and stressed. Thank you.
Please make a ten hour version.
I want to relive christmas of '99.
Alright, set this to loop... Aaaand time to sleep to this. Wonder what my dreams will be like.
When you wake up, you should yell "FINALLY!"
Water Temple's music is one of the best in OoT. To me its always been relaxing with a slight sense of mischief in the strings.
So what happend
@@deez6683 Good news!
I spent what felt like 2 hours grumbling at my lack of sleep, waiting for it to finally kick in. Then I realized it was 10 hours later.
@@JacksonJinn certified water temple moment
chill beats to get lost/frustrated to
Thank you TerminalMontage! You don't even know how much I needed this music in my life... the struggles...
Rare instance when TerminalMontage had to cut footage for time purposes, and this may just be the shortened version of that cut footage in the first place🗿
This is exactly what I wanted, an *almost* infinite search for the key, lmao
The thumbnail is too much great
Okay but that thumbnail art is amazing. I love it.
The Sound of Silence that follows once everyone perishes in the maze.. *chefs kiss*
Funnily enough they accidentally made this one of the easiest boss key skips in the game...You can just backflip off one of the hookshot posts over and behind the door... It's not even a complex glitch, just a backflip, and you skip the whole temple...You escape hell...
Right under the nose of so many 1990s kids
One backflip to freedom, right under so many 1990s kids' noses
...You might be thinking of Master Quest. There are no Hookshot platforms in Vanilla.
This is what I was hoping the whole video would be
The song of people’s depleting sanity in the Water Temple.
I love how you can hear water dripping in rhythm
Anyone else wonder how many in-game days pass when you're in the Water Temple? Like, I always imagine the other Sages loosing track of Link for who knows how long and just assuming he died only to be surprised when he shows back up.
Ooh! A video focusing on the music! Nice!
I always forgot the last key, and it's hell to look for it and have to repeat everything until I get to the room of the boss key
I unironically enjoy the water temple. I never understood the frustration with it, but granted, if I had to scower for the last key, it probably would annoy me.
I was sad to find that it was a mix of the original track that played in the video because it was really nice to listen to. Thanks for this!
Wait that's not the original track? What is it then?
@@amiralfrancais3700 As far as I can tell, it's a different mix of the original track. It's pretty close, but I love this rebalance. It could be more similar to the remake's soundtrack, but it's different from the N64 version
I definitely hallucinated while watching this, but a fun idea it gave me. Just a static scene outside of one of the temples while we hear distant 'yelling in frustration' noises of Link as he's dungeon diving.
I imagined it'd be similar to the Melee ASMR video
"Are ya winnin son?"
NOOO!😭 I don't want to be here anymore.
You really are quite Zelda fan to recognize the authentic frustation this temple gave and then printed It in your video this well , congratulations
Legend says... that the hero is still searching for the last key to this day...
W thumbnail
I love the artwork on the thumbnail so much. The little tektite looks so cute
And so, Hyrule was plunged into darkness. The land slowly corrupted and the people therein twisted into all manor of unnatural beings. The few strong enough to survive tell stories of divers visiting the last known whereabouts of the hero. They say you can still hear the clanking echo of metal boots, and the water levels will randomly shift.
Oh my God... I USED THE EXACT SAME MIDI ON SOUNDTRAP! I KNEW IT SOUNDED FAMILIAR!
LOOK, KINGDOMHEARTSINSIDER! THAT'S MY PLACE FOR MUSIC MAKING!
god i need this thumbnail as a wallpaper so bad, its that good lmao
Ohoo, was not expecting this! ❤❤❤
thank youuu i'm going to be playing this in the background forever now 💙
Relaxing Tunes to get lost to
Next time grab the compass Link, it will show you the exact location of the chest that you missed...
I love how you started this video❤❤
Ah yes the place that gave me legit nightmares over finding that last key....
It took me an entire day, plus a dream about getting lost in a place similar to this to find that thing
lovely song to put when you are trying to find the last mf key.
Basically, it's the suffering we've all suffered because of a key, illustrated on video. The sicratrices will be eternal... even more so coming from a simple key
The calming sound of failure
The song representing the definition of insanity, the futility of attempt, it's great
I love the fact this animation was take it very careful and detail in all kind of situation this temple has in anyone first try, was waiting for this episode since the first one, it is so special to watch it now and re watching every time I want to laugh, ty terminalmontage
I've played through OoT 3x. Ive only completed it once. You've just brought up past trauma, but made it funny.
That ONE key. Every single playthrough, I swear
Best music to be listening to when you’re in a room ALONE.
The struggle was real! Even after the 3782 time I played, I STILL had this issue. I can't wait to see Bongo Bongo. Dude, the sounds that he made were so weird to me.
I just really love the way he's drawn here
I was expecting jokes about getting lost and going round and round in this temple with everyone else and I am not disappointed lol
For some reason this have both a calming vibe......yet a painful one.
This is a more accurate representation of that last key. I can taste the silent rage bro's having.
This is amazing
I like this soundfont, but I swear, the first time I heard it in your video I thought it was supposed to be some kind of RuneScape remix of the Water Temple from SilvaGunner. He would absolutely do something like this.
“Didn’t I just go here?, wait no I went there or did I go here?, is there a secret door?, wait where am I?” Moment
Ah yes, THOSE dungeons. 10/10 Childhood trauma.
If the original console had achievements like modern games it’d say “beat the water temple: only 12.3% of players get this achievement”
First, and as always, Nice Work !!
0:24 6 yr old me getting lost at Walmart and I forgot where my mom was
I can confirm that this is exactly the way I played. Every single step. For hours. For days. 😂
P e r f e c t for sleep
No matter how many times you try, no matter how sure you think you are that this time you got all the keys early, there's always that one loose end...
When I played OOT for the first time I got a guide for Water Temple, did the first bits and said "Nah I get it, I'll be fine"
They were *NOT* joking about missing a single key. Hoo boy.
WE BE RACKING UP PLAY TIME WITH THIS ONE🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
the tumbnail about to be my wallpaper
I swear i am not bragging but i never had this problem. But OoT wasnt my first zelda game so My experience with zelda games is look everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE!
Salute to those who beat the OG water temple.🗡️⚠️
If it wasn't that the temple is so goddam confusing this ost is somewhat relaxing.
I never played this game before, but this track is traumatic to my ears now 😂 It has the same vibe some old water levels from Mario had 😅😅😅😅😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I never want to be near a lake again after beating this “fun” dungeon
@@Commander-peepers 😅
That thumbnail is just peak
Now I can wander the watery corridors for all time.
I like where link is standing ticked off ear twitching and meme start😂
We didn't know we needed this, and yet, here it is
Then there's just my completionist brain that just has the whole place memorized and no longer has this issue... This dungeon still haunts me regardless
how sad it would be if we had to collect 8 keys and then they start to move and we have to guess which one opens the door we need to open
It's all fun and games until the door needs a key
Thankyou!
These animations are so underrated
0:47 lols the ear flick of irritation. Poor Link
