In Colorado I bought a dozen Araconas,(a small bodied hen , the lowest cost per egg) they sent me 13 i didn't want a rooster waking everyone up he was beautiful and didn't crow for a yr and a half didn't have nobody to teach him. We were best friends until the hens laid the first egg. Then it was on...he would attack me every time he could. Brown, blue and greenish eggs!! I fed them a lot of garlic for a week and the eggs tasted like garlic. Fed them alot of fish and the eggs tasted like fish i was gonna feed them my cats ..😮
You mad 6 boxes for 6 chickens? They will most likely all use a group favorite rather then each use their own. I’ve had mine for around 4 years, all my birds love one box and will literally wait to lay or (I’m not kidding) stand on top of one another to lay eggs in the specific box rather then use the free one
Bruh. If y’all need any help I’m disabled and stuck in an abusive situation but I will be a farm hand for room and board and if you give me a bow and arrow I can hit a running rabbit anytime any day.
I just started with 6 chickens also . You will find they will probably mostly lay in one box lol , good luck to you
