BOTH ARE GREAT GUNS,
I totally agree! 👍🏼
Just got the echelon but I’m also getting the PDP🇺🇸
Can't go wrong with getting both.
ECHELON is so nice. I’m so glad I have one along with a HELLCAT PRO Well done SPRINGFIELD!
Yup, they did a great job. 👍🏼
Since I am getting a full size either the echelon, pdp pro, or canik tti
Would it be better to stick to my osp for concealed carry rather than trade that in for a hellcat pro?
@@globnoggin8779 I like to stick with the same setup as far as sights So when I practice with both hellcat pro and echelon I’m consistent. That’s what works for me
Same here. Stick with the same system
Shaq & Kobe
IMHO, the Echelon is the best out-of-the-box option available today for a 9mm duty size pistol. I do own some Glocks, but Springfield makes a much better Glock than Glock does.
Super high quality video! Excellent stuff
I’m glad you liked the review. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
I'm definitely getting an Echelon in the near future!
Nice! I think you’ll really like it. 👍🏼
Hey, just subbed to ur channel!
Great vid…I need both now! 😂😂
Thanks for subbing and I am glad to hear you like the video. I know the feeling, you can't just have one. Haha! 😂
Awesome comparison, Harry! I got to admit, the PDP has been having me eat my words over time. It's been effortlessly accurate and predictable to shoot, once my brain and hands got passed that jarring recoil.
I also ran some steel case ammo from Monarch yesterday through it and it surprisingly ran just fine. Not sure if it's the zinc plated finish used on the casing that helped. Even my ammo picky P10F didn't choke on it.
That might be something to look into for budget freedom seeds.
Be well!
I know what you mean. Once you get used to the recoil, the pistol is really great and has many excellent qualities. Someone suggested that I should check out the metal frame PDP, as its weight helps reduce the PDP’s snappy recoil. I'll also take a look at the monarch ammo. Thank you for the recommendation.
@@UBRArsenal of course. That PDP SF does look like it shoots a bit smoother. But I don't know if it's 4 or 5 times smoother when looking at the asking price. However, if I come across a sweet deal, I just might try it.
How do you compare the shooting experience between the P10F and PDP?
@@awokeone7997 Imo P10f is a all around better shooter but the Pdp's return to zero is bar none
I have both, love both, lucky me! Not sure what I like better, I’d say I’m personally more accurate with the pdp, and I don’t mind the snappiness as the sight gets back on target naturally- but I do like shooting faster with the echelon
If you can afford both then I recommend that. Lol 😆 No matter which one you buy, you can't go wrong with either one.
I carry the PDP pro SD & it’s an awesome pistol. Walther is very proud of their mags tho $$$ but having owned Walthers for years I know I can count on it for years to come . Having said that , I may grab an Echelon as the optics mounting system looks great, similar to my Shadow Systems
I still really like my PDP. The grip feels so good in my hand. It's a great pistol. The Echelon’s optic system is top-notch, especially for me. I recently started reviewing more optics, and this helps me save money since I don't have to buy mounting plates. It's one of my favorite features of the Echelon. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
all companies are absolutely smoking crack on extra mag prices!
@@leftyo9589 Walther and Sig are the worst offenders in my experience , Staccato is absolutely insane . I agree with you
The Holosun SCS directly mounts to the PDP without an optic plate which will allow you to co-witness with the factory iron sights.
The new dual port pmm ultra barrel-combo pdp 4" slide is awesome but once they come out with an aluminum grip frame for the echelon i think its going to be slightly nicer
I thought about picking up the PMM comp too but I didn't know if it would be worth the money. I'm very interested in an aluminum Echelon grip though.
@@UBRArsenal same as well as monsoon tactical lucky 7s porting job
Yup, that was the other option I considered. I think I’m just going to wait for an all aluminum grip to see how that feels first.
Using steel casing is a mistake period, great way to destroy extractors
I bought the steel casing when ammo was really expensive during the pandemic. I review firearms, so I bought what I could afford at the time. I don't usually buy steel casing, but it's worth noting just in case the person using steel casing ammo regularly is watching.
I guess we are all entitled to our opinions but I shot both the Echelon and the PDP and I didn’t even think it was a close completion, I went with the PDP (in the interest of fairness I fired and purchased a PDP Pro and did not try or purchase the standard PDP model, perhaps there is a big difference).
Keep in mind they are both awesome pistols. You can’t go wrong with either one. I still love my PDP. I do wish I waited to get the steel framed PDP. 😁
I’ve been looking for this comparison, I need a duty pistol since I’ve decided on another carry option already.
I hope the video helped in some way. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
You're the second channel that picks the Echelon over the PDP, is the Echelon that good or the PDP overhyped?
If you noticed, he mainly picked the Echelon for features... Both reliable, just wouldn't run steel casing ammo through the PDP. The optic mounting system on the Echelon is one of very few that really gives it the edge over every competitor for a striker fired duty gun. I still see the Echelon selling for about $600 to $650. Walther triggers are as talked up as Canik and CZ triggers... I feel like those are the best on the market! Not sure if you watch Honest Outlaw, but you should definitely check out his torture test video. The Echelon survived pretty much everything he put it through.
To find out which pistol is best suited for you, I recommended that you visit a nearby range that allows you to rent and shoot both guns. This way, you can determine which gun feels better for you to shoot and then consider which features are most essential. This will enable you to make an informed decision. It's important to keep in mind that regardless of which pistol you choose, both are excellent firearms.
It isn't "over-hyped" per se. If you're not going full sized or steel frame... the shooting experience isn't comparable to the Echelon.
@@UBRArsenalbeing in CA, thats a tough task for anyone. Here, you have to buy them in order to experience them.
You can’t rent them from a local range?
I put hundreds steel casing rounds on my pdp and never had problems.
I was using wolf steel case. What brand was yours?
Compare the Echelon to the 4.5” PDP as it shoots better than the 4.0”.
If I ever get my hands on the 4.5” PDP, I'll do that. Thanks for the suggestion. 🤜🤛
What optic is that on your Echelon?!?
Link to this optic is below. If you use the code UBRAGCS20 its should take 20% off.

Moral of the story. Get a PDP Pro
What do you get extra with the PDP Pro? Is it just a better trigger?
@@UBRArsenal threaded barrel,magwell,3)18 rd magazines and the flat face trigger
@@Scottz72 echelons better
Not a huge fan of Springfield/croatia
The recoil could be the 4in barrel compared to the 4.5. That little bit of length and weight matters. A more direct comparison would've been the 4.5in PDP.
When I tried the 4.5 version it was still snappy. The only version I tried that wasn't snappy was the full-metal PDP.
@UBRArsenal I'm glad you tried it out. It is a little snappier just because of the tight chamber design. But the trigger? Come on. You know it's better lol.
Yeah, the trigger is so nice.
PDP is probably the best polymer wonder out there.
It really is a great pistol. 👍🏼
Echelons better
VP9 is better
Negative 👎👎👎👎 the Walther PDP was a waste of production money it’s trash. It’s super snappy and my first time shooting the PDP the front iron sight flew off. The echelon however is gods gift to earth
Glock for the win becouse they both tried copying glock lol
Glock's the leader, but somehow, they're behind. They better catch up. These manufacturers ain't playin' with 'em.
The first car isn't the best.... Neither is the first plane, toaster, phone etc... Glock may have been the first polymer gun but the not even close to the best...
Don't buy Plastic guns
