An update on that 1.01 update, I actually got a change to talk to one of the localizers for Neptunia at Anime Expo, he said the whole “Language” stuff was actually due to someone being an idiot and accidentally forget to add “Language” in the rating descriptions, but what really caused it was the ESRB, sent a message to IFI that someone (which he thinks was some mom who let their kid play the game) was complaining about the word “bastard” and other “vulgar” words and they has some option to fix it: the big one was to recall and reprint all physical copies, another was to send stickers with the updated rating, but they were too costly to do so the were forced to censor words and dialogue (none of them wanted to do that)
That's actually true?
@@carlos_4368 This isn't new information. People noticed the lack of the "Language" sticker almost immediately after the news about the dialogue changes went live so this is just further confirmation that this was the case. At least with the Steam version you should be able to downgrade to the older version and even if they'll disable that people will inevitably make a patch/mod to reverse the changes. With that being said console gamers are SOL unless they have a physical copy with the original version on the disk.
In a way it's good that this was just a simple error because it means we shouldn't expect similar changes in future games such as Game Maker R:Evolution.
EU = censorship dictator. Everyone should meanwhile know this.
I don't think most people here really care.
A lot of folks noticed almost immediately that the missing language tag was likely at fault. That didn't stop others from going on their usual anti-whatever rhetoric anyway.
@@electricindigoball1244 No, I actually meant the part about some mom complaining. Sorry for the confusion.
More jrpgs on xbox equals better console. Xbox needs them.
No they don’t,
Xbox needs to make their own games.
They do nothing more then trailers…no dates no preorders nothing.
Heyo! Been watching a lot of your videos lately, your voice is so relaxing.
Thanks for the news on Nep. :) I found out about the Neptunia games through your channel and I'm having a lot of fun playing through them. They are a bit quirky, but undeniably fun.
Neptunia's First and Hopefully Not Last Game on Xbox.
they might port VII and then the rebirth Trilogy
@@ausername8770I would love that honestly
@@bigewc92 with this I feel like the rebirth Trilogy might be on switch too
@@ausername8770 Cool
Nep game maker looks like fun, definitely look forward to picking that up next year.
As one of like six people who loves playing RPGs and Japanese games on Xbox, I am over the moon that Nep is coming to the platform! I actually haven't picked it up for PS4 yet, so I'll just wait and grab it on Xbox
I don’t want to buy a PS5 because of Sony’s heavy handed censorship which causes all versions to be censored because most companies aren’t going to release censored and uncensored versions on different platforms. So I’ve been thinking about getting a Series X but I am a JRPG guy so it makes more sense to get a PS5. So I’ve bought neither yet and I usually buy every console at launch. I have no idea how to move forward. Maybe I should just stick to PC and Switch but I feel like I am missing out.
@@richardaaron4454 If you don't want to support Sony, I'd say maybe get a PS5 used, just get FFXVI and the VII Remake games, and stick to PC and Switch outside those. Most RPGs now are making Switch the target platform, since that's where most of the RPG nerds are now, it's just that Sony has a money chokehold on the mainline FF games
Xbox has "smart delivery" So they can release 1 version then it reads what console you are playing on and if there is an upgrade for the series consoles it'll tell you. Unless the game is stated to be just one of the generations like cod is separate versions.
I will definitely be picking up the physical edition of Sisters Vs. On Xbox for my Series X! Beyond excited for a Neptune finally coming to Xbox consoles!
Here is one important tip for Sisters vs Sisters because the most didn't know how to play this game and complained about the long endlags. ---- It is VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT two switch as often as possible between the characters because of very long endlag for example. Please don't forget if you play this beautiful game. 🙏🏻I really loved this game its one of my favourist ever!!
I wonder are gonna add Maho and anri as dlc
I think they are supposed to be Switch exclusives so I don't think it's likely, at least in the nearest future.
This is great news! Neptunia on Xbox is something I never thought would happen. Vert would be proud. Now if only we get Disgaea to come to Xbox.
wait disgaea not on Xbox?
@@ausername8770 Nope
@@nintendozilla9843 well i hope it does come to Xbox soon
Can i download user curated games and share my own?
I hope Idea Factory gives Xbox more than just one game. Either way still very exciting to see it finally come to the platform.
Japan is done with Xbox
@@mlgxxx808
But Idea Factory (among a few other developers) is far from it. In fact, I think they're just getting started.
@@mlgxxx808Too bad Japan doesnt existe alone un the world in a bubble, isnt it. Get me right, Japan IS nintenstation territory, but everyone should get a taste
Happy that its comigo to xbox... but after two generations without games like these on xbox im going back to Ps. Super happy thou
Lo jugarían, pero por lo visto solo estara en ingles uwu
Lançar uma versão para "Europa", mas só em Inglês. Movimento clássico.
São coisas assim que me fizeram aprender Inglês, e agora me incentivando a aprender Japonês.
Kinda fun to see Nepgear get her own game.
Most Xbox games are cross-gen, so I'm only expecting a single release for Xbox.
Dam must suck to have Xbox for jrpgs.
Nep on Xbox? Very nice. Now if only MS would release a white Series X in Vert’s honor!
Has Plutia been confirmed for this game at all? 😢❤
They yet improved and downgrade things at the same time in SVS.
When you can read SVS as Sisters vs Sisters or Sisters VS.
Honestly the dialouge change is just...whatever to me. There are ao many egregious examples of censorship that this one is just meh and it was due to an honest ratings mistake.
I had the ps4 physical version so I just deleted that update. Very strange case.
I was a bit iffy on sisters vs sisters, but I hope Game Maker R can impress. Nice to see it have a switch version this time around.
Iffy lol 👍
@@JohnSmith-xq1pz lol
Say what now!? Oh man if there's no steam release that'll suck. I skipped the 8th console generation completely and still avoiding the 9th until the tail end of it
So far every Nep game (except Producing Perfection from 2014) has had a Steam release, so I wouldn't be worried. With Neptunia games it's not uncommon for the Steam version to be released sometime after the console versions.
@@YSN I agree that Game Maker R:Evolution will most likely get a PC port eventually as both 4 Goddesses Online and Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA had their PC ports release several months after the English localisation of the console versions.
@@YSN Hopefully you're right 👍
While I have some questions and skepticism regarding "SvS" coming to XBox (How much is it even going to sell? Why "SvS and not "ReVerse"? Etc), I'm not going to complain about something becoming more accessible to more people.
Though it is funny that it's taken this long for IF and CH to release something on XBox again. They were quite pro-Xbox during the 7th gen. One of IF's "Neverland" entries, "Spectral Force 3", was XBox exclusive if I remember correctly. Even CH had multiple of their games either release first on XBox, such as "Record of Agarest War", or made an enhanced version for XBox above the PS3, such as "Cross Edge Dash"...which funnily was a Japan only release.
Why PC is always late...
Not a lot of Xbox players like anime they said it’s for kids it’s not going to be popular and I hope they don’t add on game pass
"straight away" instead of "right away"? That's un-American!
Probably because I'm not American.
Japan is done with Xbox
It never began for xbox
Actually, I think with the Series S and the move to bring more Japanese games to the Xbox, as well as Game Pass, Xbox is doing better than ever in Japan.
Sega is done with Xbox
@@mlgxxx808Not even close. No prominent developer ever said they were done.
And now Final Fantasy 14 is coming to Xbox, with a promise of more (likely Pixel Remasters/7 Remake and Rebirth/16) on the way. The investment in Japanese publishing is greater than ever on Xbox. Especially because a Japanese Xbox studio, Tango Gameworks, put out my game of the year so far.
