- Waking up in the Boundary Waters is always serene. Northern Minnesota is just beginning to show signs of fall despite unseasonably high temperatures. Our second full day of paddling takes us north from Lake Agnus to Lac La Croix where we setup for a couple of nights on a secluded island.
Trip Date: September 1 - September 8, 2023
(Entry Point 16 - Moose/Portage River North)

Relaxing video. How was your whiskey sours? I love sipping bourbon, Buffalo trace bourbon.
It was pretty good for my first one in the backcountry! Very pleasantly surprised. I used Old Forester as it was what I could find in the little taster bottles. I’m a big Scotch guy myself, so absolutely love sipping a neat whisky. I’ve heard good things about Buffalo Trace though, so I need to give it a try! I do love a good sipping bourbon too.
