The Towers and the Heights aren't always random. The limit of the towers increase when you play more games. And their heights depends on the time you've spent playing them.
The towers represent the number of gigs on Memory Card and if save a lot of slots or fill in empty saves then the tower increase even with ps1 games and tomb raider was one of them.
@@TREVORVADER watch a ps2 secrets video and they all mention it, the towers are the amount of games you've played and their height represents time spent playing the game
SamFoxter The Foxter The classic blue color that we see in the PS2's BIOS. If you look closely when we open the bios, that isn't the stars original colour. Infact, they all have their own colour, which will perform the blue one by colliding togheter. I honestly think that the blue color is,in some way, connected to Hertzsprung-Russel's diagram, where it's said that the blue stars are the hottest, while the red stars are the coldest. Not to mention, the stars sound in the startup is way deeper than the stars sound in the BIOS. In my opinion, this means that the stars in the startup have a way bigger magnitude/mass,compared to the stars in the BIOS.
***** You have no towers because you have no memory card inserted, once you have one, and you play a game a moving block will appear in the startup, each time you play that game the block will fade away a little, the will grow into a tower the more you play, then when that tower is complete, you'll be able to see another one growing somewhere next to it, same rules apply for a diffent game.
Well its not the save files, its basically game history you can delete the game save file, the block/tower will still be there, the blocks/towers are your system configuration
If you have some type of file browser for your ps2 and go into your sys config folder for your ps2, you'll see something there that says history, when I deleted that, the block/tower disappeared, a more detailed explanantion but yea

These sound effects are magical, I love them! Imo they are better than many sound effects today. Somehow this has more charm, is warmer, more relaxing and space-like. Also that ominous undertone which I really like.
I hated this sound when I was little because I found it creepy. But now I really like it. It reminds me of being cooped up inside at night in your room while it's snowing outside...
the only way to get that is for your sys config to corrupt and by that, it will give you random grown towers, and sometimes a full screen full of them, I've known this from experience, but yea that's probably the only way
So much nostalgia. I remember when I got my PS2 for Christmas. I woke up at 4AM and ran to wake up my parents. They were extremely mad but loved my reaction when I opened it. My favorite PS2 game was pretty unknown. It was Monster Rancher 3. It is still my favorite game.

Guys, I've heard that on the loading screen on PS2 at the start each tower=1 game played. The taller the tower, the longer the gameplay. That's a lot of games on the first one...
whats missing in the ps4.. a badass start up screen showing one of the grapphical power with good fog detail and polygons and textures like the ps2 start up
I remember when the console will just fail me and get stuck in that initial sequence with the "memory boxes" (the amount of memory you have used up in your memory card is directly proportional to the amount of boxes are shown in the startup) and stay there for hours on end.
I got my PS2 in 2003 when I was 5 and it for real feels like it was just yesterday. Whenever I hear this start up it gives me such a weird, nostalgic feeling that's hard to describe. It's like whenever I hear it it takes me right back to the early 2000's playing Crash Bandicoot with my brother and neice.
I cried for hours when I saw this. We'll never see things like this ever again so nastalgic and amazing childhood memories we'll never forget. BTW 0:17-0:52 I never seen it before though.
Towers were so random. Usually for my uncle on his original PS2, he takes out his memory card and there ends up being no Towers or "blocks" when he turns on his PS2.
The blocks on the loading screen represent the amount of games you have played. The progress of your save files on your memory card determines how tall they were. Every new game causes another block to appear. If you loaded your ps2 without a memory card attached or it bugged & didn't read it then it would revert to zero blocks. That's why everyone has a different memory of the loading screens.
