I'm in the process of reinstating my cosmetology license after a long break. I find barber things interesting. Actually, some things crossover and are helpful. Maybe after I get my cosmetology stuff straightened out I'll get a barber license as well. My state Tennessee, has a crossover program for both and any licensed cosmetologist or barber can take 300 hours of the other course and get a dual license. I'm a woman and have more practice in women's hair cutting and styling but would like to know more about doing men's hair. I know nothing about beards....but am willing to learn. Cosmetologist can use safety razors but I'm not comfortable enough try that yet. (Yet is the key word) Keep doing what you do. You never know who is watching and learning.
