Lizzie on the cliff at 24:53 is filmed at Stanage (Stone Edge in Old English) Edge in The Peak District of Derbyshire, not far from Chatsworth House (Pemberley in the film), home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The "pretty tree" in the following scene at 25:03 is over 500 years old - more than twice as old as the USA! - and a part of the ancient Sherwood Forest. Not too far away is Little John's grave in Hathersage churchyard. Enjoyed the reaction BTW. Great film.

Darcy's home is Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, sited in the heart of the Peak District National Park, and you're right, that's a pretty tree in the scene just before we see the house. Chatsworth is famous for it's beauty and for it's gardens, which were designed by the great English gardener Capability Brown. The river was diverted to run in front of the house. There's a gorgeous cascading fountain and many others in the grounds. Thousands visit the house and gardens every year. It's an absolute gem, like this movie ♥.

Yes, love to see more reactions from Mr. Movies perspective.
Kudos to him for holding back the sarcastic comments, out of respect, I guess - it was obvious that he did - although, personally, I would've loved to hear them.

This was such a good idea to do the ole switcheroo. I’m not a huge romance fan, but this movie is one of the best!

MY late Father was an avid reader and loved Jane Austen novels. So I need to read them as part of my bucket list. You should watch the BBC serialisation from the 90s. The acting is excellent.

I wouldn't call it a crying movie, but I always get a little misty when Mr Bennett says "You really do love him, don't you?"
    It's such a sweet Daddy-daughter moment.

32:38 Yeah, just showing up at somebody's house in the middle of the night and demanding their attention (leaving out the whole demeaning their existence thing that follows) would be considered over-the-top rude and presumptuous in _this_ day and age. Back then, it would've been absolutely absurd. You didn't just casually hitch up the team and go somewhere at night, even if it was just a few miles. There was no light to see where the hell you were going and the roads were basically just paths. Pretty much the only people who traveled at night were running from someone.

Hope you one day watch the a&e mini series, I think it’s the best version imo. Obviously the best choice for him though. Lol. Not a slight…..condensed is good for first timers. The father with his daughters and wife is hilarious. It’s great, love what ya love….there is no better Mr. Darcy than Collin Firth. “Any savage can dance.”

It's nice to see a grown man being able to appreciate a romantic movie. Alot of dudes could learn a thing or 2 from this, watching a "chick flick" doesn't make you any less of a man, it's actually a turn on for most women and shows that you're in touch with your sensitive side.

Of Jane Austen's works, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Persuasuion, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, and Lady Susan have all been adapted into movies and Sanditon has been adapted into a television series!

WOW, that was wonderful! I didn't know you were into rom-coms, can I now start a petition for you to have a side-channel with more of that genre? Lol, ok, maybe just a few more on this channel ;)
If I may suggest, please try Priceless (2006) with Audrey Tautou. Not even for the channel, just to watch on your own if you'd like. It might be on Amazon Prime I believe... well worth looking for :)

Love this film - the European version ends at the father saying "for heaven's sake send them in". The scene of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy kissing by firelight at the end was only for US audiences.
