Wow.... Just wow.. This is the first time I've seen Mel really let go with her smile, and you could see she was not playing around. My 4x12 black widow speaker cab was crying for more of this. That was amazing, and my neighbors were pissed. My goodness they brought the BOOM 💥
When I was just a little dude back in the 1980s, there were no girls that were into metal back then. It's really awesome to see an entire generation of young women, growing up listening to, and playing metal really well.

August 12, 1988. I saw the South of Heaven tour in Hollywood, California. First time seeing Slayer and the title track was first song they played that night, second song was Silent Scream. 🤘🎸☠️😈🇺🇸🍺
We must have crossed paths. Yeah was there as well with Danzig. Best concert at the Palladium moshing.

I saw South of Heaven tour in Lakeland Florida , Motorhead opened up.
Jesse Tragedie yup right after that was Metallica’s concert and Justice for all in Long Beach ripping cushions out. Remember them vividly.

I've seen massive infighting within groups due to music (the black metal scene is rife with elitism), and I myself have been chased and beaten up for liking metal. I also knew a girl once who genuinely thought she had to choose which musical style she liked instead of realising that she could enjoy both. It's better these days, but music is still highly tribal.

This was mind blowing AWESOMENESS! The look on the hooded girl's face when she was grinding the middle section, so into it. I wish dark haired girl had that same look in her face. But still, this was absolutely a beautiful metal moment between 2 very different and beautiful women, I was mesmerized the entire time.
Awesome! Thanks so much for making and sharing this. I was teaching this song to someone this week and came onto youtube to check the parts I'd worked out. This video is a brilliantly valuable find. It's also great to see younger musicians still loving and playing this music. (I only wish I could play it this well.)

Just saw this video. I was in 😵💫😵💫 so awesome, great team work girls. I remember see slayer as a young freshman in high school. I'm 50 now and still enjoy heavy metal tell the end.
