  • This isn't much of a build guide, more a quick explanation of one of hotslogs higher win rate builds on how you're supposed to play it. Hit an isolated backliner and stealth before the enemy team knew what happened.
    Put simply, Stealth, Isolated Q, Q, Q, W, E, With auto attacks during cooldowns. Then vanish after with the reduced cooldown. You can use Q whenever the enemies step away.

    So I neglected to mention the combo in the video so here it is:
    Stealth and wait for it to give you the jump > Isolate them then Q > Q > Q > W > E > Q with auto attacks in between followed by a trait to get out after the burst. This will take out anyone who is slightly away from their team and the great part of tagging people away from their team is it is low risk. Don't do this build and try to walk through the enemy team to burst a backliner, use it to grab people who position poorly or people during rotations. Before you get the isolation it's best to use the silence instead when getting people.

      Q > Q > Q > W - you are wasting 1 combo point :) cap is 3. also, W has a bit range, wouldnt it be better to save incase enemy is getting abit far and SS is on CD?

    • @thehiddenninja3428
      @thehiddenninja3428 Před 6 lety +15

      Yeah
      A much better combo is Q Q W E Q, just because you evisc sooner. This makes your 3rd Q give you a combo point which can also E, and it also means you're not wasting any time waiting for your Q to come off of cd, increasing your DPS

    Love your videos and learn a lot from them. You said you were going to do the combo and then explain the combo, but you never explain it. You explain the talents but not the order of the abilities used. It appears you are using Q-ambush in stealth, then two Q- sinister strikes, followed by W-blade furry and then E-eviscerate. And when that didn't finish off the healer you did one last Q-sinister strike.

    This is not working in real scenarios, because the opponent will just walk away. I am a Valeera main, and I always go with the slow at lvl 1, that will guarantee that all your Q will hit.
    Also if the target has a dash (which many many has...) they can create a gap very quickly so that your Q will be ineffective. So instead of Q I always open with Silence (+slow) and just Q-Q-Q-W-E. The silence does huge damage after lvl 20.

  • @mintx1720
    @mintx1720 Před 6 lety +6

    I think Crippling Poison is essential with Mutilate. You don't need Vigor to do the full Q build combo. And use W first after initiation to avoid missing the first Q.

    @larsvandervaart2226 Před 3 dny

    I know this is 6 years later and perhaps we have grown as a community, but this is a sub-optimal combo for multiple reasons. Firstly you need a talent that enables you to get your combo off reliably. That means either slow talent at lvl 1 or speed talent at lvl 4. Assuming you go speed talent at 4 you can then take energy regen after opener at 1 instead of max energy quest, as the regen works perfectly for your burst windows anyway and you dont need to do a quest for 10 minutes. The rest of the build is the same. Taking speed at 4 also gives you 2 combo points on opener. This allows you to get 2 full combo point eviscerated off in 1 opener. You open with whatever is needed, into q e. Then you q w q e. There is short delay as you wait for your lvl 1 to do its thing. But it results in alot more dmg without resource waste. If you dont want to delay just dont do last q for 2 point eviscerated, which is still more damage than this video showcases. Hope this helps some valeera beginner who stumbles across this video. Like the vids though

    It will stop working since Platinum where ppl will play as a team use escapes and supports actually will use their skills to save teammates.
    In QM you may pick Crippling Poison and same build and combo will be QQQQQ and they will not run away after using their escapes.
    Also you don't need to do any quests.

    I would like to argue that Valeera gets more value out of silencing a key member of the enemy team or blinding them if it's an AA hero. I understand the value in the talent picks, but you will have a very weak lategame if you only focus on the solo laner or those that overextend.

    • @BM-zi9yp
      @BM-zi9yp Před 6 lety +4

      LessThan3 Just remove stealth, it's beyond fixing. Heroes like Valeera or Nova dominate every single QM while being trash in HL in most cases. Devs already tried to adress that issue with little success...frankly, with none whatsoever.

    • @LessThan3___
      @LessThan3___ Před 6 lety +5

      In my opinion the stealth visuals wasnt a big problem before the rework. In Qm everyone that could see the shimmer would already point it out ,that there was a dangerous hero there and in HL the heroes werent even viable. My problem is when they destroyed stealth by making it so every stealth character wears a white coat over there skin. It made it so that valeera's stealth would be to easily countered and making her almost useless. Because her stealth is not a ''passive'' like zeratul and nova. Also her stealth is on a 8 second cooldown and zera + nova is on 3 sec. So when making a hero completely based around her stealth abilities and making her vanish on a longer cooldown then the other stealth heroes. You completely kill that hero if you change the stealth mechanics. Which makes it super frustrating to play as valeera.

    • @biohazard6997
      @biohazard6997 Před 6 lety +4

      LessThan3 I could not agree more. I personally love Valeera. She is by far my most played hero at level 28 (I'm only character level 290) and my highest win rate. The feeling you get when you get revealed before a team fight by a stupid hanzo scatter arrow or something hurts so bad. It makes you essentially useless for the next 8 seconds.

    • @LessThan3___
      @LessThan3___ Před 6 lety +4

    That's great and all but we're talking level 16. So it's definitely a scaling build. If your team isn't holding its own during early or mid game you're going to be pretty useless until then. If your team doesn't at least keep up in level you're going to be hard pressed to preform. Plus with the amount of people with reveals now, and the stealth rework, on top of her not having any good mobility options for disengaging, she's been a pretty losy pick.

      Q Q Q E W would be better or even QWQE. Doing W after getting three Q's in would kinda be a waste seeing that your only allowed three combo points. It's not adding much more damage like a full set of combo points would. Full three point eviscerate>one Q or one W. That's why you should prob use the combo points before doing Q or W and save either of the two for the next set of three points for more dps but usually by then, they're either dead or gone.

    Hello,
    I just saw your video because it was in the recommended section and about Valeera that i am playing in QMs for fun.
    I am 3,2k MMR rated on EU Servers which considered as Master. Personally i think this build can be useable below diamond tier otherwise its not that great.
    Let me break it down by talent choices:
    Vigor - Only viable. Its OK.
    Relentless Strike - Only viable choice. OK aswell.
    At lvl7 Slice and Dice should be picked because Mutilate significantly decreases your mobility.
    Ult - Personal preference
    Death from above - After an opener you dont want to vanish because you dont have energy to do anything after and not giving any utility for the team. Strangle really dominant in that tier.
    Assassinate really situational (Laning phase over at 16 mostly). In a TF situation for an objective there is really low chance that will ever come in handy. Basically youre playing from a talent behind. However Seal Fate is a decent choice.
    Lvl20 talent - Personal choice. I like Elusiveness.
    In master and above people will react really fast. You wont have 3-4secs freely like against a bot. They'll get away instantly if you don't lock them down or they will hurt you badly which significantly decreases your map presence if you have to go home and heal.
    As Valeera your goal is to give advantage to your laner. Of course the easiest way if you manage to kill the enemy laner but most of the time its not possible.
    What you should do:
    Until level4 -> Open with Garrote - During the silence they cant hurt you badly. Like taking 2-3 AA is fine. Then use Sinister Strike 1 time and Blade Flurry on the enemy and you will have energy for 1 more which you will use backward. You did much more dmg than your enemy .
    After level4 -> Garrote into SSx1 and Blade Flurry then Eviscerate after that SS backward. Because you want to trade efficiently.
    At this point your laner have the advantage on the lane. If the enemy is going home thats a big XP loss.
    If you start with ambush on chars with escape mechanism they will get away in 0.5secs. Hanzo jumps away, Genji dash away, Tracer blink away, Fenix tp away and so on.. after that they'll punish you. If the enemy dont have escape mechanism but have CC you really dont want to get that either. If you ambush on a Jaina there is like 80% chance she will kite you to hell and kill you. KT gravity roll and burn you. These are considered bad trades which cost HP most of the time if not death. You are forced to heal after this and the well has a CD.. TPing home and getting back like 45secs deadtime.
    Also Valeera is a char which dont have to be in stealth at the start of the fight! You can vanish during fight and make an opener that time!
    Screenshot from my Valeera night: Https://ibb.co/jnHL3J

      Richard Hutter what about this build (I don't remember names of talents): 1 - 1 - 3 - 1 - 3 - 1 - 3. So with this build you could do your E twice, before the silence fade

    • @richardhutter
      @richardhutter Před 6 lety

      Basically that's what i mentioned as talent choices if you mean by numbers Vigor - Relentless Strikes - Slice and Dice - Smoke Bomb - Strangle - Seal Fate - Rupture. This build have really nice energy regen - also you can sustain your dmg output.
      If the enemy is alone you might stay for 2 Eviscerate if you feel comfortable. The less dmg you take from the opponents is the better.

    @siyuwu2556 Před 6 lety +6

    Tried the build and valeera just suck. By the time the build is done we either already lost or enemy group up tight and I do poor in teamfight. Firstly there's already rarely any hero that cannot cc you or have mobility skill to get away. After the Q talent, even a miss step can also cause you to lose the target already. The overall range is just a huge pain for valeera. Any other melee assain can engage from longer range than her. She highly rely on teammates to provide cc or bruise enemy before engage but many other ranged hero can just do better in the same situation. The only unique thing valeera provide is the 2.5s silence. If don't take advantage of that then better off just pick other hero.

      Jade Selket I highly doubt a nerf will be coming. Stealth mechanics are easily countered by vision and low cost high range abilities. Without her stealth her burst is rendered near useless.
      Her burst also requires her to be 13+ and have picked up a lot the regen globes and specific scenarios where she has to hit a single'd out enemy.
      Very specific circumstances for very specific outcomes.
