Living your ordinary life in extraordinary places is such an awesome thing to do and that would be my ideal way of “traveling”. I envy your courage and spontaneity and it’s so inspiring to watch you do it on your own!
There are travelers and then there are tourists...you are being a traveler who immerses herself into living like a local in a city for awhile. I love that you're doing this! I couldn't agree more with this statement. I think that are a great deal of us that are in a transitional phase of our lives and choosing how we act in this situation is how we get through it. I don't know the details either and I have struggled with getting down on myself and having feelings of unworthiness from it. But I realize now how many others feel the same and it's not so unusual in the world these days. We are live in a rapidly shifting world which affects work and where we get our sense of worth from. I made up a mantra to help me: "If I stay in the flow, I will know as I go!" xo

Your videos of your travels are incredible. We learn also from you adapting to wherever you are. As someone posted there are travelers and tourists. You are a traveler with finding out so much about the area you are in. We have enjoyed watching overcome so many events from medical concerns to your uni days. Glad to see you enjoying life. I think it's good to see travel from a normal life perspective instead of just an exotic break from reality. I wish i had done more of that when i was younger and less settled.

You’re so brave, i’m going into a similar type of life situation soon and i am scared!! I don’t know if i value adventure AS MUCH as you, or maybe i do! When i was in my 20s (i’m 34 years old now), i moved my whole life from Sweden to Los Angeles (!) without batting an eye.. i remember having no fear. Now that i’m planning on starting my own business, changing towns… i’m just so scared. Please talk more about fear and how you handle it ❤

I can relate to this. I love being a journey especially one that helps you find yourself and seems that you are doing just that! I wish you the best in your journey and in your travels. When you are traveling where do you stay? I know sometimes its with friends and families, but for the most part of your travels where do you stay, and have you thought about Airbnb's for stay while you travel?

Aw thank you. No I’ve actually mostly been filming on my phone but I’ve switched to using the CapCut desktop version for editing and you can easily change the contrast of the clips and it seems to make things a sharper 😊

Some people say spending an extended amount of time in one place as a ‘traveler’ is better than doing small trips as a tourist, but I don’t think it’s the amount of time you spend in a place that makes the difference (you can live abroad for years without even trying to learn about local culture or meet local people. I wouldn’t call that a traveler.) Rather, it depends on what traveling style suits you and what you get out of the trip. Most people have a job in their home country that doesn’t allow them to work from anywhere. Some might enjoy going away for a while, but more importantly they need a place to call home. And of course there’s people like you Rachel whose job permits and who like living in different countries and are excited for the challenges that come with it. It’s all about personal preferences and choices. Anyone can be a traveler, regardless of their trip length, as long as they make the effort to immerse in the new culture and experience what the place has to offer ❤

Thank you for updating us on your journey and future adventure plans. I also want to thank you for your last morning-routine video in Austin. I’ve been struggling with being productive, and something about that particular video struck me as exactly what I needed to try. I entered it in my phone’s calendar, with each item having having a start time-like each thing is an appointment. I’m thrilled with it, so is my dog, and it has made a tremendous difference in accomplishing all sorts of things throughout the day. Thank you❣️❣️❣️

I’ve been staying with friends so far this year which has been very fortunate. I’ll probably do a video with more explanation soon. My job is all online. There’s a variety of sources of Income but the two main ones are CZcams and The Inventorie

As an Australian and a female, how safe did you feel in Austin? I'm torn between US and Canada, but Texas especially feels like one of the 'scarier' states.
Texas I was on slight edge all the time. I tried to stay out of the way and cause no confrontation with people cause you never know. One time I was turning left and the light went yellow so I stopped and the person behind me beeped me and was mad I didn’t run through and I definitely had that thought like what if I made them so mad they got out and shot me. People get shot from such random little reasons all the time, it happened multiple times while I was in Austin. I don’t think I could live in the states, it’s scary
It’s scary no matter where you go or live. It’s not just the US. Even in Australia there is bad but you may not see it. It’s definitely all over the world so, you do need to be safe.
