Appreciate you taking the time in showing how you do your nals. I started two months ago with gel nails and yes this is expensive but may give it a try. During the pandemic I did get dips but was not paatient with it so this seems to be a way to go especially with the finishing of it. Thank you so very much

Thank you for showing us how you do your dip powder!! I've been considering starting to use dipping powder (bc its gorgeous), but this made me realize I'm way too impatient to go through the whole process lol
Haha it’s a long process. It usually takes an hour to 1.5 in the salon but at home you can only do one hand at a time so it usually takes me about 2 hours. I usually do it when I watch tv or something

Great video Rachel! I do my nails (very basic, just cutting when it gets too long😅) and I have no interest in manicures at all but I still found it interesting to see how you are doing your nails! They look pretty!😊

I feel the same way about laundry 🧺. I always throw the laundry detergent cap in with the wash, that way it’s always clean and doesn’t have soap film build up in it.
i used to do that all the time, not sure why I got out of that habit haha ❤️🌟❤

dip powder is thicker and similar to acrylic. whereas gel polish is closer to nail polish 😊

Aw thank you, i think the lighting was making my eyes and lips seem more pink than they were. The palette I use is the 9T from Morphe which is a lot of brown tones and the lipstick i'm loving right now is Thanks, its Mac lipstick by Mac ❤️🌟❤

It’s not technically polish. It’s more like acrylic. So it’s thicker and harder 😊
So what's the benefit of using a dip powder over regular or gel polish ?? I don't really see any aesthetic difference and a few hours is too much for me to dedicate to doing my nails
it takes maybe an hour and a half to two hours to remove and do it again. I didn't mean to say few and make it sound like its 3-4 hours long.
Dip is like acrylic. Its thicker and stronger than just gel polish. You can peel gel polish off, you can't peel off dip. You'd have to crack it off in chunks.
@@rachelleea It sounds as though the process is very similar to dipping acetone/dip powder when doing acrylics except you're just doing them separately. A bit time consuming but I'll try it sometime. Thanks for replying 💚💚💚💚

I tried the dip nails at home but it was so uneven and it looked like I put toothpaste on the nails 💅 🙃
filing them down smooth is the most annoying part of the process haha

Surprised you use acetone. Most lacquer removing liquids I see say literally NO ACETONE because it's known to be toxic and noone wants it. Kinda ok to use on furniture etc but not on your body. If you use it regularly I suggest to check, better safe than sorry
With Gel or activated dip you cannot get it off without acetone. It’s not the best I know but there isn’t an alternative for this at least that I know of.

@@BreezyRenee333 not on gel nails no as they have been cured so it’s needs the acetone to break that down x
