I have had three sets of Bighorn 2.0 on my outlander. I only buy them because they are lighter.
That comes with a price. They get little cuts easier and the seam in the centre leaks. They are a nice riding tire.
I am getting tired of having to pump up my tires every week because they are flat. Will look at something tougher next time.

A plethora of tires to choose from he says. I LIKE IT!
Those Bighorns 2.0 are on my list of replacements for my SwampLites. I don't ride in the snow a lot, but when I do, the SwampLites absolutely suck. They're an amazing trail tire, but I'm thinking I need something more versatile.

    Good review KC.
I like em. I had a set on my Kodiak 400 before i started youtube many years ago. I found they work very well for a wide terrain variety. You are right about the ride quality. I think they ride smoother than my Kenda bearclaw HTR's. However when the going gets nasty, the HTRs i found pull harder.

Nothing like a good tire review. I agree with your reasoning. The softer carcus does provide a much better ride, and although the 3.0 may last longer I would rather have the more compliant ride than the longevity

Hey mornin Chris, when I was shopping for tires, the ride quality was one of the big factors in choosing the 2.0s.
But with the way the prices are getting on ATV tires I may be changing my tune on the 3.0 tire. LOL
They’re getting close to $200 each,
Heck you can buy passenger car tires for less than that. That’s nuts!

My teryx has bighorn 2.0’s on it and because of the machines weigh I run about 10 pounds on the front and 12 on the rear. They are great tires and ride smooth. Was gonna put a set on my grizzly a couple years ago and because of the price for a set I went with the Kenda Bearclaw HTR. They are also a radial tire but do seem heavier and hard to balance. At the time the Big Horns were about $550-$600 a set. Now they over $800 a set.

One of them is out of balance so causes the handlebar to shimmy at 45mph. I think they are 8 ply so probably a fair amount heavier than the bighorns. It's time to go get them dirty again!

So I've been running 2.0s since 2011. I have them on all 3 of our wheelers. They hold up great. Only issue I have had is on my 1000 they are wearing faster than they do on the 570 and 800. The 2 reasons why are one: road riding down at HMT and 2: POWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Want to touch on some of your highlighted points KC.
First: the flexible side wall doubles the gripping capabilities of that great tread pattern.
Second: these are NOT SXS tires. First time in Moab and my buddy literally wore out a brand new set of 2.0s on his brand new SXS on that trip. We literally took pics at the beginning of the day to record the amount of wear on the tires. Another buddy in his new SXS on a local NE powerline woods trail sustained 3 flats in 1 ride on his 2.0s. NOT A SXS TIRE!!!!!
Third: agreed softer compound with I suspected and why the tire grips so so well. Makes the wheeler so predictable.
Just wanted to say the 2.0s are a great trail tire, does everything well may not be the best at one particular thing but all in all when it is said and done the tire is the best all around trail tire you can buy for an ATV.
Also IDK about now but years back there was a negative wrap the 2.0s were getting. It came from 2 areas. First one we talked about and that came from the SXS world and how the tire didn't hold up to those conditions. The other was there were some manufactures putting 2.0s stock on their higher end ATVs. Problem was they were a 3 ply 2.0 that didn't hold up very well. But the 6 ply 2.0s can't be beat on an ATV IMHO!

Another good tire that is a knockoff of the bighorns is the sunf. My buddy has them on his cfmoto 600 and I couldnt belief how good they are in snow and mud. I rode his atv and they are good handling, no vibration, and smooth on hard pack and hwy. I am seriously thinking thats my next tire. He only paid $ 396.94 for a set of 4 tires. I have not run the 2.0s but have ran the originals on 5 different ATVs. A Grizzly, Brute Force and 3 KIng Quads. Never a puncture issue. I pig hunt in Texas and while we had a couple of flats this year none were on Maxxis tires. The ranch we hunt at uses 2.0s and they love them. The wear like iron. I don't mud but have been in 18 inches of mud and they did fine. I always think of trying something else. Usually the Bear Claw HTRs come up but I have had such good luck with the BHs that I keep putting them on my machines. The BH originals also do well in snow. For icefishing I buy motorcycle ice racing screw and don't mess with chains. The tread is so thick I just screw right into them. Never a problem. I have a 1000 miles on a set on a KQ. Mostly trails but probably 100 miles on pavement and the BHs just hold up. Thanks for the video.

@@kcatv9556 Man, that is expensive! SunF sells a tire that looks mighty close to the same tire pattern; I might replace mine with those. Although, that might be a few years down the road the way atv tires seem to hold up.

would you get the 2.0 instead of the 3.0 again for your personal Grizzly?

Hi Barney13, that is a great question. I would probably still go with the 2.0s since they have a better ride than the 3.0‘s,
But with that being said, the
3.0’s are going to last longer since they are a harder compound.
With the price of these tires and if ride is not a big concern the 3.0’s would actually be a better tire simply because they’re going to last longer.
It’s definitely a difficult decision. Trying to figure out what tires to buy for an ATV.
Hope that helps you out. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@kcatv9556 yeah the 26's are 900 bucks so thats even crazier. I like my zillas. 450 bucks for a set of 25's and 600 bucks for a set of 26's. Still expensive. Personally I like Kenda bear claw EX which is only 300 for a full set of 25's. But really everything's gone up.
