- The 435X all wheel drive Automower has been a hot topic for nearly a year now since pictures and videos from Europe were shared on social media. The 435X (Consumer) and 535AWD (Commercial) all wheel drive units were only available in select countries in Europe in 2019. They were not available to dealers here in the US or Canada, although a few dealers and consumers did manage to obtain them from sources in Europe. All of this waiting combined with the random glimpses people would get of what the machine is capable of has created a buzz much like we saw a few years ago as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the 572XP in North America. We are sure that the AWD Automowers will be in high demand which could lead to there being some back order issues right out of the gate. If you are set on an AWD Automower, we strongly recommend that you contact your local authorized Automower dealer and pre order yours as soon as possible so you can get one of the first wave to come into North America.

Those things look AWESOME!!!!!!!
Awesome machine!
This would have been a better choice for my lawn. One year late for me.
I bought a 435x and it only has two guide wires not three that you mentioned perhaps the 535 has three. I am in the process of setting up the garden layout to suite the auto mower to cover the entire lawn. Mine cost €4250 which was from a supplier in Germany.
These are going to be over 4K for just the mower from what we were told.
Do the lights only come on at night on the 435X? or option to turn off on via alexa?
They can be on all the time, off all the time, come on only in the evening, or be turned off via Automower Connect or Alexa.
@@EshlemaniaTV cool thanks
What if I lay a boundary wire in the crack between my driveway and the curb and do not run a guide wire across the driveway? Will the machine drive all over every inch of the driveway or would it sense there is no grass and avoid it other than to cross it and mow the other side?
It will drive over every inch of the driveway unless you "neck it down" by creating a corridor are in the driveway to cut down on the area of the driveway it can navigate in.
@@EshlemaniaTV You probably have a video on this but what do you recommend for sending a guideline across an asphalt driveway? Cut it with a saw and fill the cut with tar? What specific tools and substance do you recommend - obviously don't need a lot of tar, is there something else that can be used?
@@RadicalAristocrat use can the existing gaps and silicone to hold in place (saw that on a Husqvarna install tutorial). I guess silicone would work too, if you had to cut channels in the driveway
So it's going to have pretty much the same battery pack and run time as a current 430x ?
Close to it. They didn't say this specifically, but I would think that unless it is a higher Ah battery, the run time would be less than a 430X just because of the simple fact that it is ALWAYS powering 4 wheel motors instead of 2.
Cool, I’ve still got a few months left to sell a kidney.
LOL!
Yeah it's a bit pricey for only being able to do 1 acre max
When Husqvarna says the incline maximum is lower a long the boundary wire, does that apply to obstacles on the incline too? Let's say there is a fence on top a 40 degree incline and my 450X heads up to it in the corner of the yard. So it has boundary wire to the immediate right of it (ascending at an incline that exceeds the 15 degree max) and one in front of the machine that it will reach while exceeding the 15 degree maximum, (Question 1) is it the wire to its right that it is too steep for the machine or is it the wire the machine is heading toward... and (Question 2) what if the wire it is heading toward was laid on the other side of the fence so the mower just hits the fence? Have I hacked the system or is it the same regardless if it is an obstacle or a wire?
From what I've encountered obstacles going uphill are not nearly as much of a problem as obstacles when coming down hill. In the scenario you are giving the wire on the side would cause the most problem. If the mower is driving straight across the incline towards the wire on the side of the incline and had to stop and then turn when it got to it, there's a good chance it will have the grass torn up in that area within a week or 2 from trying to turn in the middle of the hill.
How many acres can these models handle?
They're saying about 1 acre. But it will depend on the inclines.
Is that 1 acre per day or total. If the grass grows slow can it mow one yard on Monday and another on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. Repeat. So actually 3 acres.
Wondering if my 2 neighbors can share in the price
Are there any videos out there of this thing actually cutting grass? Mostly it’s shown running over pre-cut grass and there’s not really a sense it’s actually “cutting“ anything.
That's how they are supposed to work. They cut tiny clippings so that you don't actually see you grass growing and you do not have clippings laying all over.
