Scav games when?
You could add a clause that you you're allowed only 1 PMC run, it must be used to try and get Jager unlocked, and may not pick up any items or shoot any scavs and pmcs during this mission.
When the wipe happens i always spend the first 50 raids as a scav looting and gatherings keys. then i play pmc while i have lots of money
Incidentally, this is basically what I've been doing at the beginning of this wipe. Playing almost only scavs to get gear and hideout upgrades, and only playing on my PMC when I had tasks that only PMC could finish - but then again I had very little time to play so that's why it was more convenient for me, and in no way did it make PMC leveling easy.
Yep. This is how I started playing the game, doing research on maps/gear/ammo during my cooldown times. And idk what some folks do for work but you'd have level 20s like 1 week after wipe while I'd still be like level 7. With the cracked SCAVs and cheater every 3rd game, oh and the fucked up audio, it was not worth the time and effort for me anymore. I may jump back on soon, we shall see. I updated it recently and checked my hideout, I do have some really good guns and decent gear stashed up atm. Ammo MEH not so much.
@@BrassBashers Similar here - I probably have 20 raids over 4 wipes (mostly in an attempt to be social) but enjoy the 'had nothing, found something' and 'I helped our boys' elements of the scav and have always been somewhat anti-progression in games where our characters' skills make us faster/stronger/better as opposed to letting us do new stuff. Whatever can be done as a scav I'll do, run the PMC to get Debut done and then see how far the scav can go. Think I'm probably secretly waiting for an 'RPG mod', where we put points into some S.P.E.C.I.A.L. or C.L.A.S.S.I.C. attribute setup..
@@rickybuhl3176 hey I played for some time yesterday for the first time this year, actually had some fun! Killed a PMC AS A SCAV late raid on Woods who had NO IDEA I was there, got hella PMC gear from him and another dead body! Got out at Dead man's boat with 2 minutes remaining. Fought another player SCAV who was shooting everything that moved cause he had a labs keycard lol. Ran into zero cheaters the past 2 days. Audio is better. I will start playing again!

This is how I'm currently learning....first time I played my buddy dipped and left me in the mall lol. A year later after exhausting myself with DayZ I decided to pick it back up. Love it now
This is such a unique idea for a challenge run! I'm so exited for this.
Finally, a series that i have been searching for so long is here! Thank you man, you just made my heart one half more full
You can load .366 into 7.62x39 guns but they won't fire you can unload the cartridge by either hitting Ctrl + R (Racks bolt emptying the chamber) or double click the gun and pull the round out from the UI if the chamber is just a "?" then you have to press L Shift + T to check the chamber so your pmc knows what is even in the chamber to begin with.
I bet this series will gain some traction... this is a great idea
This is exactly how I started playing this game. When Beta came out I hadn't seen much gameplay from it but heard so many folks praising the game, so I bought it. After the very first night I hated my life LOL, I didn't even know the SCAVs were friendlies when you played as a SCAV. I didn't know the maps, I didn't know the ammo types, nothing. I went from playing for 2-3 days to 2 weeks of partially playing but mostly researching the game. I had significant gear fear so would SCAV run and then do research during the cooldowns. It took me like over a month to get level 15 the first time. I got decent at the game eventually and then a new wipe came out. I quit playing shortly after last wipe was released and they made loot to progress more rare, made the regular SCAVs as accurate as SCAV bosses, and rampant cheaters were everywhere; like dying every 3 matches to a cheater and guys literally admitting in through VOIP. I updated it just recently but not sure if I'll give it another try or not.

You should concentrate on the hide out upgrades that will shorten your scav timer. This looks like a very fun series that I won’t miss an episode. Keep up the good work and thanks for the awesome content
Only issue with that is that you require traders leveled up which you don't get as scav

Im currently doing this right now. Shit load of gear, only 5 raids ever to complete quests. Level 10 and 18m+ in roubles.
Dude this is all I do anymore since voip and I have so much fun just chatting with other scavs and even pmcs. working together with random people is much easier as a scav and taking co-op extracts is like a whole different part of the game a large portion of people don’t even play.

First Scav looted there was a found in raid toz for skier's "Supplier" quest
just for future reference, if you put the wrong ammo in a gun, there is a keybind to clear the chamber. i forget the default binding, but you can remove ammo loaded into guns (such as the wrong ammo in the SKS at around 44:00)
I believe the default keybind was ctrl+R for this :)
@@mlbbpotthead9222 yes it is, y use that option in my mixed mags for eject tracer of the bottom of the previous one from the barrel

Tbh that sounds like a great idea. Dont unlock traders until level 5 pmc so everyone has to use scav gear. I think everyone enjoys the fight where everyone is playing with crap gear more than the meta game

This is legit just how I play the game normally. I enjoy the routine of playing a scav run, then being productive in real life while it cools down. I just sold 3 full scav box's(all found in raid random items) for approximately 3.5 mil per box. Filing cabinets are my best friends, sad lonely life.
Would be cool to have a scav as a main character in the future, like another faction to play as.
You’d have a different hideout compared to a pmc and you only have access to certain traders

yes you do get the penalty for killing bosses even if they attack you first.
they become friendly if u get max scav rep
this is how i've played my wipe so far.. unlocked the flea and had around 15 mil before completing a non transfer quest. not proud of it, but never broke again!

I've found a ledx in a duffle on interstate as a scav...on one of the first raids I ever played eft. This was just a few weeks ago...this is my first wipe.

I already do this. I just use my pmc to throw away my gear to other pmcs after i die. it only takes a min to get through the pmc run to wait out my scav timer.

first body. o wow a toz. leaves it behind XD
also i did this challenge to. scav only when u get out give it all to pmc. hideout is one way only scav/pmc > stash. only exception is when buying markers/cameras
this way i roleplayed as a contractor for fence. building up car exfills to get 6 rep eventually. making it super fun when my pmc died. chilling out with bosses mostly gluhar.
i got pretty far had the scav case eventually and even a bitcoin farm running with like 20 gpu's
I've pretty much been doing the same thing as this is the first time I've ever played with mouse and keyboard.

Fuck yeah. Brilliant concept! 1.0 could have some kind of storyline that keeps you without vendors until you get enough fence rep. Then he sets up meetings and you find them in the map they live on. I cant wait for more episodes!
Holy shit, iwas just looking 2 days ago for a good scav only series, and couldnt find any newer series worth watching, AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW! one of the better tarkov contentcreators drops it!!!
only problem now is that I have to wait for each episode instead of binging!

Interchange is such a good map for this, you can get basically any item your pmc will need all the way to level 30+ easily

In this challenge you can use your pmc as an stash extention he can hold Backpacks with cases and the gama for money or something. If you don't play with the pmc he is a good stash

i would love if you had to reach level 5 with your scav before getting the PMC and the insurance box

ive been very lucky on customs the dead body by the car near dorms spawned in GPU and a roler been very good this currrent wipe
You do know that you can loot filing cabinets right? Because they are pretty op for keys and other hideout upgrade items

I spent My first 2 Wipes playing almost solely My Scav.... I had better gear than My friends (Level5/6 Armour and Lvl 4+ Helmets with Face Shields, M4/HK meta guns etc etc) and when I opened Flea Market bought Multiple Thicc Weapons Cases with the Millions of Roubles and 10's of thousands USD.
Scav cool down was not really an issue since I listed a lot of gear on Flea which filled the cooldown time between raids.
I was thinking about doing something like this since I'm so late to this wipe

instead of scavaging for hours looking for items, you should focus on killing PMCs and stacking scav rep; so you get better kits and better extracts/ faster cool down timer

I play scavs until I have enough $$$ to buy a few nice cases, hoard gear and then play PMC
Essentially after I get a few nice cases, I organize sets as "lives" for my PMC, sets of headphones / helmet / body armor / weapons allow for a quick and cheap "refill" after a PMC death.

i did this during my first wipe cuz i didnt have too much time to commit to the game and wanted to see how big i could get my stash while only using scavs lol. i managed 2 scav junk boxxes and almost 10mil. was fun!

this is basically what i do haha, i do some pmc but last wipe i only got to level 15 pmc but had 50mil rubles

Im excited for this one, should provide some fun variety in the guns and gear you use. Especially in the early game
im pretty sure just straight sellimg parts to mechanic and selling gun to fence provides most profit for low durability guns. as repairing loses 2k+ roubles

57:28 Yeah, unfortunately the Intelligence Center is locked behind Security level 2,
which needs Endurance Level 2 on your PMC,
so that's a bit of a non starter.
Though...
There is a bit of an odd way around that.
The gym has no restrictions.
So if you built the gym, you could level your PMC without going into raid,
if that's not cheating?

Nothing hurts more then watching you skipping the 7 stashes on your run on customs yea it’s a risk. And a lot of times there is nothing. I’m a no ruble left behind unless I find a better item. Still a great series none the less the graphic card on interchange pc was clutch. But I feel like this is how I’ve played the patch 13 like one pmc raid to like 10 scav raids😂 a day ish

I liked the first episode. wondering how you are going to handle some of the levelling requirements. Also wondered if you had a spreadsheet or something where you tracked what you need and when you need it to accomplish some quests etc.

Hey man, i've never played that game and it kinda looks cool to play....i have so many questions rn...but foa, why don't scavs kill each other? why do you have guns equipped if you don't even trade shots? There's still non scavs alive when you kick in? is that why? nive vid btw.
