The writing of this scene is just SO bad. Nothing was more harmful to this show over the years than allowing Ron Cartoon Camp Carlivati to become head writer. Just destroyed the show.
That’s ridiculously untrue. Elizabeth is being a petty, lying bitch because she hates that Jason doesn’t want her even when if he wasn’t with Sam. All that history Elizabeth talks about doesn’t mean anything. The only thing about her knowing Jason first is that she had her chance with Jason and she blew it. She just didn’t expect for him to actually move on; she thought he’d fight for her but he didn’t which proves he didn’t have strong feelings for her because when he does love a woman like Sam or even Courtney, he doesn’t just let them go without a fight.

When Jason told her that even if he wasn’t with Sam that he wasn’t going to be with her either, Liz did the next best thing in her mind which was lie, something she does very well since she’s had so much practice, and arrange it so Jason & Sam wouldn’t get back together like she knew they wanted to because she’ll settle for Sam not being with Jason if she can’t have what she really wants.
