    Why I did not get notified of this video is beyond me. I have notifications on. Anyway, thanks for another tip-based video.

      @yourpcmd lol… that happens to me sometimes. As always thanks for watching. Hoping to get to the good stuff shortly. In the meantime I hope this answers questions for people that had the same ideas that I worked through.

      @thisoldhooptie you know it!! I was watching your Hooker manifold video tonight. Like others I wasted money on a set of the shorty headers. I ordered the Hooker manifolds from Summit today. They look like they will have much more clearance. Fingers crossed!! You have a good weekend as well. Keep them videos coming bro!!

      @@dtperformance256 I'm working on it. I've been teaching my son to drive and fixing stuff around the house last few months. Most has been way to boring for a video. Looking forward to getting back in the garage. I got a new motorized bead roller I've been itching to try out.
      The headers will do the trick. I had the ebay ones they were beat to heck with leaks and flow issues on some ports. Also the space for exhaust and everything will be way better with the black heart stuff no complaints.

    Great video DT! I was curious how you were going to modify it for that radiator to fit. Cool to see all the steps. Liked the background music too for the time lapse.

    I have that same radiator in my S10 Blazer. It works well but they don't last long. They have a tendency to start cracking around the welds and leaking. In other words, they're not well built. Great idea. No good follow through.

      @@dtperformance256 The radiator works well. Well enough there in the winter time I have to change from the 180 thermostat to the 195. If not, my engine will run way too cold. And I live in California where the freezing mark is not a very common thing.

      @onelostsoul1997 We see some hot temps here in Alabama so I am hoping it does well. I converted 2 other S10’s with 350 V8’s and I used the Corvette style radiator based off of JTRs book and recommendation. The Blazer had a 4.3 radiator and they both ran around 180 degrees but they were both basically stock engines. Thanks again for the feedback. I had my fingers crossed that this radiator would work. That’s the problem with project cars, sometimes you don’t know until the build is completed if something‘s gonna work or not.

    • @onelostsoul1997
      @onelostsoul1997 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@dtperformance256 Right now I'm still running the 4.3 with AC even in 120° days. I can still keep the temperature around 200° with the aluminum radiator. And as you know with the 4.3, they like to run hot no matter what you do. And when they get hotter than 210°, they run like total crap.

    • @dtperformance256
      @dtperformance256  Před 9 měsíci

      @onelostsoul1997 you are 100% correct there. It’s hard enough here in Alabama with the temps we see. I can’t imagine the struggles you guys go through with builds in your area.
