For those of you that don’t know much about the J53. It’s based off the CJ3B jeep Willy’s with Mitsubishi touches. In 1953 Mitsubishi secured rights to continue building them up until 1998.
I have another J53 stateside as well currently in the process of being titled.

Hey I'm currently in the process of bringing one of these to the States from Japan, any tips on export/shipping and getting it titled?

garand1459 Who ever is exporting it from japan should supply you with the proper paperwork. You will need to get everting translated, as well as going to a title broker to transfer everything. Other than that’s its plain, and simple. Different states have different rules onto what’s needed to title each vehicle. I sell my vehicles with clean Texas titles already so all the buyer needs to do is literally just transfer it into their name as you would any other normal vehicle.
