- This video is SO much longer than I intended it to be. I talk a lot lol but I hope you guys still find this informative. A few of you guys have requested it so here it is! Also, I included some bloopers/extras at the end of this video because I had A LOT, which is why I usually stick to voice-overs haha but if you like them I'll be sure to include them more often.

The cuticle is the dead tissue, if its hurting its because youre hurting the eponychium which is live tissue.

Quick Overview:
(Prep: Remove Nail Polish, use a Q-tip to get underneath the nails, too.)
1) 5:37 Use Cuticle Remover on each nail
2) 6:15 After waiting about 30sec - 1minute, use a Cuticle Pusher
3) 9:35 Reshape Nail with Nail Filer / Emeryboard - File in one direction because if you don't it'll cause your nail to be jagged which may cause a microtear that may snag on things.
4) 11:05 Smoothen the edges with a buffing block.
5) 13:05, Application at 14:33 Use Cuticle Conditioning Oil so Cuticles will grow more natural and healthier.
Cuticle remover DOES remove the cuticle. The dead skin IS your cuticle.

If your nails are brittle and you want to grow them long , I recommend getting biogel overlay done on natural nails , it will given them the strength they need and you will notice results in 1 - 2 months

The dead skin on the nails is cuticle. What we tend to call our cuticles are actually called “proximal nail fold”. 😊

Nice video: you said that you kept 2 weeks yourmani with peel off base coat! The only time that I use peel off base coat once I put my kitchen gloves 3 nails polished stay inside the gloves!
I also find that a lot of peel off base coats don't last very long. I was actually using the ACI Yellow Stopper top coat, so it wasn't meant to be used as a peel off base coat, which is why it lasts a lot longer than a traditional peel off base coat would. I would definitely recommend it if you want to use a peel of base coats that lasts a fairly long time. I love it :)
Love your bloopers, you sound like me! I talk to myself and my husband comes in and asks Honey, what did you say? Are you talking to me or talking to yourself again? LOL! BTW, I believe I am more of a fan of square/round nails than almond. Yet, heck you can pull it off with any shape. Lucky girl to have your nails grow fast. I am very hard on my nails and hands, use them in gardening, cleaning, everything. Just now trying NOT to use the actual nail. Hard but never to OLD (Like Me) to learn!
Haha yes, I always do that!! My mother is the same with her nails and hands, so I typically use gel polish on her since it lasts a lot longer than regular nail polish and it's a lot thicker too!

It doesn't! That peel off base coat is supposed to peel off, it doesn't damage your nails
The Peel off base coat is supposed to be Taken off like that but be careful if you have a crack even a little one , take it off really gently because it happened to me i had a little crack in my nail and it made this crack even bigger so i put gel polish on it and it repaired it , Hope that helped 💕
If you don't use lotion you're going to get premature wrinkles on your hands! I like the Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion with the green label. It soaks in fast and is not greasy at all. Feels like nothing in a few min. If it really bothers you, only put lotion on the back of your hand.
Just for specifics, you are pushing back your proximal nail fold and the cuticle is actually the thin layer of dry skin that is on the nail.
Yes, please do a video with your base coat. Also, I have one thumb nail broken almost to the cuticle, no kidding! It does not hurt, surprisingly. I used the "teabag fix" but if I use your base coat (I really want too) will it compromise my break when it peels off?
Oh, no that nail break doesn't sound fun :( I haven't used this base coat long enough to know if it would compromise your break. When I have used the teabag method in the past, I always used nail glue to ensure that my nail wouldn't completely break off, so I would imagine it just depends how strong it is. Sorry I couldn't really give you an answer but I hope it all works out and that your thumb nail has a speedy recovery!!
You have the best nails I've ever seen and i am like 3 years in nail side of CZcams and you healed me a lot of the shape of my nails cuz i was boring of the shape ballerina

Yes when i have almond nails the tips always wear down and become blunt. And I'm pretty gentle with my nails

Love looove your nails and thank you for this routine! I have a question on how do you maintain your nails on your right hand, since I'm a mother if two, I'm really going back and forth in trying to really maintain nails on both my hands. HELP!!!!😜
I just try not to use my nails too often! I don't use them as tools to open things and all that. I also file my nails pretty regularly to try and smooth anything out that might result in the nail breaking.

I try to take a lot of care of my nails and avoid doing things like opening caps with my nails and things like that. I might do a video on how I apply my polish to make my manis last longer, but in general I just make sure to take care of them and not use my nails as utensils haha
Omg yes please do a video on that!! Your nails are like mine but usually by the 5th day of wear the polish starts to peel which can get pretty frustrating. Also do you think the yellow stopper plays a role in the longevity? Thank you so much for replying :)
Yes, I definitely do think the yellow stopper helps my nail polish last longer. It’s not your typical peel off base coat since it’s not really intended to be used for that purpose. This means that it sticks to my nails a lot better than any other “regular” peel off base coat :)

most of the time, yes, I do. I have used the "tea bag" method before to fix a crack in my nails, but I usually just cut them or file them all down.

Unt peal off base cost is a little better because you are kinda struggling in the beginning but unt make it come off in seconds. Just a little adivce.❤️❤️
thank you! i actually already have the unt peel off base coat, but i’m not a huge fan of it since my manicure never lasts that long with it. the yellow stopper polish is a bit more difficult to peel, but definitely a lot longer lasting!

that's so odd, cuticle remover has never done that for me so I'm not sure how to help :/ just try to keep your nails as healthy as possible and use lots of cuticle oil!
Kept it in too long and put too much over the nail..it's for cuticle area only for the time specified then wash in warm - hot water straight away
I use the instant cuticle remover too. I do as you do and it feels amazing.
