@@Manavine Disagree, I seen content creators tell there sponsor what there content is and get the approve of it. When major backlash happens, sponsor back out anyway. THis happens a lot. parrot mistake was getting it writting so they still have to pay him out for breach of contract

If you're sponsored, you definitely check with them if what you're planning to do is okay first. They're paying, they get to choose what you do and don't do. That's it.
Mihoyo's a bit of a special case. Yes, their main offices are in China, they also have offices in Singapore under the Cognosphere name. And their servers are on the cloud. Plus, they bring so much money into China that the government pretty much just lets them do what they want. It's the Chinese fans who trigger censorship. You can 'thank' them for sexy swimsuits getting removed from their games.

My assumption was parrot may have only sent them the sponsor segment for them to review ahead of time and not the full vid, which is why they have an issue with it now. Itâs not good on hoyo, but considering where hoyo gets most of their money from and where theyâre located they canât afford to take that risk.

Now I clearly don't know any BTS stuff but based on my current knowledge I'm gonna take the corpo side on this one. Being a corpo is already tough, but to be a chinese corpo has gotta be the worst. Not just you have the people and other corpos against you as usual, you also have the government itself to fuck you up. By sponsoring parrot's video, hoyoverse is inadvertently supporting his views, including the racist chinese remarks and the touchy subjects regarding the ccp. Both of which I don't mind personally but for a big successful corpo like hoyo this could be death sentence. All it takes is someone to let the ccp assigned representative know about it. Which is probably one of the reasons why they hire proxies like this random german company for the global interactions.

If all the standard procedure was followed, then its game influencers fault, for first, reaching out to Parrot, and second, for approving material that cñearly went against their CCP Overlords
Parrot should technically on the right here, but of course no one will enter a legal battle with a multibillion dollar company
The issue is a lot more of why did the company come to him for a sponsorship deal and not check to see what his style of content was beforehand. You can shout "but muh terms and conditions" all day from the rooftops but ultimately they came to him to promote their product, they should've done the 5 minutes of research beforehand to see if they were ok with an ad of their product appearing next to his style of content.

You missed entirely what my point was. You don't need to explain that content creators need to follow the terms of an ad contract to get the sponsorship money, that literally goes without saying. The point of what I was saying, which clearly flew straight over your head, was that the sponsor in this instance was insane to believe that someone like Parrot, who's developed quite the notoriety for edgy humor since he works off of content from fucking 4Chan, was ever going to conform to those requirements.
It's absolutely fair game that Parrot doesn't get paid, but you completely missed the part where the company was a fool for approaching Parrot with those terms and conditions.
And finally, maybe at one point in time you could get away with saying that it's not reasonable to expect companies to vet their sponsorships but considering just how fast all companies drop sponsorships over even the smallest of controversies nowadays, I just don't think that holds anymore.

China market can be profitable but they are notorious to be very nitpicky witht their business and contract. GameInfluencer did not do proper check and re check what youtuber they offer the sponsorship. Like dude... the unspoken rules to sponsor a china game or product are like right in front of you it's like a big open secret.
Important to note that Mihoyo is one of the few Chinese video game developers not owned by TenCent and that is due to the meteoric financial success with Genshin. Also, Mihoyo is one of the few companies that tried to have openly lesbian main characters in their games, especially Honkai Impact 3rd and their previous game in Gun Girls Z. They pretty clearly don't like how the CCP censors certain things that they try to build into their work.
They're still under CCP if you thought they're not just because of lesbi content. Their whole game screaming "China is great" yet people ignore it just because it had content that they like. Mihoyo really succeed to trick these people for years. This is why large corporations like Disney succeed to milk money by using the same trick as Mihoyo did. đ
