    I have a disgusting story I HAVE to share 🤣 years ago, my spouses family member had a furniture store & due to some issues, he needed someone to run it temporarily. My spouse volunteered and I would go with him to the store. Some weirdo decided to dump their disgusting, old, filthy mattress in our parking lot. Obviously we couldn't put it in our delivery trucks, it's dirty and it would mean risking bed bugs being spread. We scheduled for the city to do a special pick up for it and until they came, we stashed it under a truck in the parking lot. It sat there for two weeks, having oil dripped on it from the vehicle, being exposed to rain, snow and sludge from the parking lot. It was gross. One day a man comes in and asks if he can RENT a bed. We say no and show him some affordable options. He says he really just needs to rent a bed because his inlaws are coming to visit from out of the country.
    He leaves and comes back in and goes "hey as I was leaving I saw a mattress under a truck. Can I buy that?" 😲😲 I told him no, explained where it came from, how long it had been sitting in the elements awaiting the garbage pickup and he left
    A hour later my spouse went to go get some food, and he noticed as he walked past, that the dirty mattress was gone. The man took it. The man took the filthy mattress and let his inlaws sleep on it🤢🤢🤢

      @Juwlz Před rokem +11

      @@Throatzillaaa right?!? Like literally it would have been better to stack a bunch of blankets and pillows on the floor to make a makeshift bed but instead the man heard me say "this bed just randomly appeared in our parking lot, someone saw a furniture store and figured they'd dump it here so we could throw it out, it's been sitting outside in the freezing cold rain and snow, under a leaking vehicle for weeks waiting for the trash company to pick it up because we will not put a used mattress in our delivery truck and risk bed bugs" and thought "yes I want this for my in-laws?!?"

      @@DEFW21 minimalism keeps- less hiding places for bugs, 2nd close any openings for them to come in at-mesh coverings, sealing holes and cracks, and 3rd if your comfortable I would use bug spray on the outside of your house around windows and other openings on the outside. Most of my experiences with spiders have been from above so I dont know how much a bed helps, I've only had an issue once with a spider bc I was on the floor (while awake). If you don't feel comfortable with the floor keep the frame and switch to a thinner mattress it won't help your knees at much, but less bug fears.

    An Armpit detox recipe- 5 tbsp of a gentle clay ( can use green clay but it will itch as it dries and be uncomfortable, would recommend a gray or pink or white) One teaspoon of activated charcoal, If you have no sensitivities to essential oils then lemon cinnamon , peppermint, and tea tree . I would do like 5drops each , (Be extra careful with cinnamon oil, a lot of people react to it. I like mine with extra peppermint because I like how it feels) or use lemon juice. Half ACV , half water to make a paste . I spread on armpits and Any small sunscreen related chest/shoulder breakouts. Let dry then rinse in shower. (About 15 minutes , I shouldn’t admit I usually just watch some thing, with my feet kicked up, rather than flaking all over the house) Can be used on body hair. Great for resetting the armpits after a toxic vacation, or when switching deodorants.

    Convincing others to sleep on the floor while still having a bed 😐😐 You need to lead by example Crunchy !

    I love this vid for a few reasons. One, humor. Two, my Pakistani grandad loves to sleep on the hard floor and rug. He just finds it comfortable along with a hard pillow called a gau-takya (cow pillow, not made from cows). (Notice all the hards). Idk the benefits of floor sleeping, but it does feel nice sometimes. Even tho I have a “hard” mattress, it doesn’t feel all that hard (idk if it’s good for my back either/I need neck supportive pillows). I know next to nothing abt crunchy, even tho I’ve watched some stuff (I just like how she makes fun of em despite being one herself in a light hearted way). My cousin introduced me to her and I’m so happy she randomly came up in my shorts cuz I forgot abt her.

    I benefit so much from sleeping on the floor

    Think of how thankful they will be when their back muscles are so strong after their visit!
    My husband won’t let me get rid of our bed because he is toxic AF and doesn’t want to heal his back pain and improve his posture.

    I sleep on the floor- I take the method from the Orient and how for thousands of years that the Chinese and Japanese have used floor futons.
    Not only is it more comfortable, but you also do get many great benefits from it!! You can stretch better, you don't get sick as easy, better mood when waking up, sleep longer and sounder- and standing up from the floor opposed to sitting then standing adds to the benefit of stretching when getting out of bed!! It's almost automatic!!!
    PLUS- you can fold up your bed when you're done sleeping and save room!!

    I was staying somewhere for 6 months and absolutely needed to sleep on the ground bc of scoliosis issues.. mattresses that are too soft, actually make my back much worse! Slept like a baby on yoga and camping mat and had no back pain at all! Camped 3 months once traveling and my favorite was camping near sand dunes..the sand was a perfect mattress ( ergonomic)

    I used to always sleep on the floor in my childhood when I lived with my grandmother as there weren't any beds in her apartment (nor was it big enough for any), it was kinda fine, although at times the surface is too hard for your enjoyment.

    I have found that sleeping on hard surfaces feels good. I am a carpenter, this seems to be a shared enjoyment among my fellow “life of hard laborers”
