Glen "Big Baby" Davis sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off speaking about growing up in Baton Rouge with his two sisters, and his mother being a former star athlete and model. Glen then revealed that his mother dated Rick James, adding that she was the first person to bring Rick to the 'hood. Then, Glen spoke about dealing with his mother's addiction growing up and being confused by everything, which he said later made him into a stronger person. Idk how he spoke before college and NBA. But I have a 2 classmates 1 played football at Auburn and then in the NFL. The other basketball at LSU and then NBA. And they both spoke like this after they went to college. Knowing when to switch your tone of speech and vernacular can open so many doors. I remember 2004 in the Cajun Dome in Lafayette for the State Basketball Playoffs. My school (St Aug) was there, we played Denham Springs. Tazmin Mitchell was on that squad. The game before that, we were watching LSU Lab play somebody and all we noticed was this round dude. Everybody in the building was like “Yo who is that fat dude!? That boy HOOPIN!”
Son, he was COLD COLD in high school. I was not surprised when he took off to the nba. I wish he was able to have a bigger role in the league because he had all the skills.
