      Christos Makris that's why i can't stand metallica anymore,it is so many years the songs are played always in the same fucking way,and the only difference from show to show is the number of errors they would make during the playing..i'm a bit sick of it and given the fact that people have to pay a ticket (an expencive one) to see them live,it doesn't seem pretentious at all to me if one's pretending a well played show without stupid errors and photocopied setlists...

    • @nkjagshenry
      @nkjagshenry Před 9 lety +11

      ^ great point. they play everything the same. the only difference is what five songs they will play that are different out of the 18 they play. i.e., they always open with creep, one is somewhere in the middle, 12-15 is master, nothing else matters, and enter sandman, the encore is a cover, followed by something from kill em all (usually hit the lights), followed by seek and destroy. if people want to see that, watch a youtube video. it pains me to say that it would only be a slight difference in songs and the only cool thing you would get from it would be saying you saw them

    81-84: kid becoming a man
    85-87:damn that guy has nuts
    88-92: he's like: be with us or get blown away by me=> voice peak
    93-96: he lost his voice
    97-99: mature metal god (sry but his s&m voice is the best after the justice era)
    2000-2006: damn i'm sich of that shit
    from 2006 on: I still got the balls to have that old voice but i'm just too lazy....
    everytime he changed his appearance completely, his voice changed: justice=> bearded=> voice like a lions roar
    load-sm => dark hair/shorter hair : mature voice
    you could hate his voice
    but there's one thing no hater will ever change:
    Hetfield has the voice fitting for metallica, the voice for bringing feeling out of his mind into our minds.
    And the fucking voice to scream the shit out of that hipster bastards.
    He reached all a musician could reach. And that's the fact he should be honored for. He makes mistakes

Unless 94 was the first year he decided he needed to change the way he sings or else hes gonna do even more more damage. I've tried to sing like him with that grit and my voice hurts pretty fast, I also feel the need to cough when I do it. Ive also noticed he spits alot during concerts, probably a result of his singing style. Crazy how he did it for so many years with that much control of his notes.

    This song is their 2nd most played song live. And for a reason! This song is one of their best!

    Apart from the obvious deepening of his voice, you can even notice the difference in his enunciation! The way he sings some words in the studio version and the early '80s sounds incredibly different. It sounds more "street" as compared to the '90s, post '90s work where it sounds more refined. It's like James suddenly started pronouncing words properly! :P

    Since Jason doesnt help James out to sing last Part of creeping death his voice is enough to finish the Song or Even a hole Concert. So since early 2000 James' voice Is getting worther and worther....

    2012......
    Yeah okay '85, '86, '89 is the best... But the truth is that James gets older and older. Some metallica fans need to understand that even voice changes when you get older ...
    I think we should be happy that James voice has been a clear improvement when it was at its worst. Listen to it now 2012 so clean and beautiful!

    Until 1986, James more imitated NWOBHM-singers, but later developed his own style of singing, imo
