Your lawn is beautiful!
I like people who are not afraid to sweat.
You better not be afraid to sweat if your in the GA heat lol
@@ryandelk04 I can barely handle the heat up here!
simple, friendly, ... nice content about lawn
Good stuff! Enjoyed the mow!
Thank you! The mowing is always mesmerizing to watch lol
Solid products over there!
Thanks man!
Nice Video. Today was a scorcher in Georgia.
Yes, it was hot but not as hot as it was earlier in the week! It was over 95!!
Looks great man!!! 🔥
Thank you Connor!!
XGRN has been my favorite fert this year
Always a fan and user of their products!
Thanks for the talk about the reel mower versus a rotary in scalping the lawn. That is so true and you don't hear a lot of people talk about that way. I got a fiskar manual reel mower and is so much cleaner cut after I'm done I do get a little bit of washboarding. But the cut is so much cleaner compared to my rotary Honda. It even has a double bladed in the cut is not that great because I get those scalps/scars. I have a lot of crepe myrtles on my property and that's the only thing that sucks their real messy when they're in bloom.
Glad you enjoyed and thank you for watching, I truly appreciate it. Those crepe myrtles never stop lol.
Great video! I cut with a rotary and have a very uneven front yard. I would prefer to keep in low around 1” but get the dreaded circle marks. As the temps have gone up here in Georgia I have raised the deck to 2” which is perfect. No marks and the lawn is thick and lush. But if you want that golf course look you have mow low. I see a leveling project in my future, but will wait for the begging of next season! Thanks for another great video Ryan!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and for your kind words. Yeah, I think it’s better just to keep it higher until you get the time and motivation to level. I’m thinking of doing a leveling job myself on my lawn soon too!
I like the 7-0-0 liquid iron product from yard mastery. My neighbor put Ironite down on his lawn, it just doesn’t look as good as a well applied chelated liquid iron. I own a Cal-trimmer too. I got the high cut version with a Honda engine. It’s good to see someone else with the same machine.
Yeah, GreeneEffect I believe. I love N-ext products, I use a lot of them! My California trimmer has been very good to me! How’s your lawn looking this year?
What's the highest cut you can do on your version?
ryandelk04
Better than last year, but not great. Better than the rest of the neighborhood. I put in a sprinkler system in this year, so I have low spots that I’ll have to sand level next year. The lawn is about 1 year old so it has a lot of filling in to do. My neighbor stained their fence and killed several places in my yard with stain they spilled. I’ll get it...it just takes time.

It cuts between 5/8 and 2-1/4. The standard Cal-trimmer cuts between 3/8 and 1-7/8. I got the high cut because my lawn is new and it needed a higher cut to help establish deeper roots. Next spring I will sand level the lawn and drop the cutting height.
🌞 *Bermuda is looking great* , man!! 👍 I need to try that Ironite.🌞
Yes!! Do it!! Do it!!
I actually love Crap Myrtles debris. I just pretend its snow :-)
Good stuff I’m in GA too. I have always struggled to keep my grass green through the summer. No matter how often I cut. I have wanted to switch to reel for a while.
I'm in GA too....looking step up my lawn game
I have an irrigation system too so it helps during dry spells but this year has been pretty good for rain!
You can do it!
I also heard when you go to turn your motor off turn turn your gas down instead of having it wide open when you turn it off.
Nice video Ryan. What is your current height of cut with your reel?
It’s right around 7/8”
Awesome! Quick question? I know Milorganite water is not needed and it won’t burn your lawn. What about Vigoro? Does it need watered in and will it burn your lawn if too much is added?
Vigoro claims that it will not burn, I think because of the slow release nitrogen mix but I always water in. If you don’t have sprinklers, throw it down before rain on the same day or day after.
Can you do a video on how to plant more crepe myrtle plants??? 🤣 good vid man👍🏻
Lol great idea! My 1st one will be how to yank them out of the ground lol
Nice lawn man! I would be interested in seeing a spot leveling video to fix some uneven spots in the yard
Good idea, I’ve done a couple clips before but I need to do a good leveling video! Thanks for watching and the suggestion!!
@@ryandelk04 Cool, yeah I just started following you so I haven't had a chance to look at all of your videos yet. I'm impressed with your work though, I live in Woodstock, GA and in the process of reviving my lawn. One of the biggest investments I made was topdressing with Soil3 by SuperSod here in Marietta. It's definitely paying dividends now!
I’ve literally had some of their leveling mix in “my cart” before (a couple times) and didn’t pull the trigger on it. I may need to just do it!
Alright! Age old question! How do I get started in managing, taking care of my lawn? Do I need to get all these products now?
You can do it!! 🙏🏼😂🙌🏻
What’s going on man 😎✌️💪
