    Great tutorial, but I wanted to share a couple of key tips based on my experience for those new to growing bean sprouts at home. First, soak your mung beans for just 8-12 hours. Soaking them longer can potentially affect the germination process and may lead to issues like fermentation, which isn't ideal for healthy sprouting. Second, ensure you drain the beans well after each rinse and avoid letting the roots sit in water, as this can cause rotting and spoilage. Proper drainage is crucial for preventing contamination and achieving healthy, white roots. These steps made a big difference in my sprouting success. Hope this helps others too. Happy sprouting!

    I soak 24 hours and after I rinse 2 time a day , morning and before going to bed . And it's ready on day 5 ! I Do that for so many decades, never failed and you can keep in the fridge 5/7 days if you do the right way and there going to be has good and fresh , crispy and delicious since the first day !!!

    • @mekd8371
      @mekd8371 Před rokem +2

      Do you find that soaking for that length of time (24 whole hours!) lead to fermentation of your batches? 8 hour soaking is more than enough to get the sprouting process started 🤔

      Be-careful with the water you are using. Bean sprout can make you really sick if the water is contaminated. Either from too much metals or foreign stuff or treatments-additives from city water and even like some fertilizers. *NOTE:* Use Spring Water or Reverse Osmosis best.

      depends on climate, in damp climate youll need to rinse several times a day, in hot dry climate yoy can get away with twice a day, OR you can adjust the amount of cloth (even remove it altogheter to reduce moisture, cause is excess moisture wich causes fungi and rotting), i only place a damp cloth on top (nothing at the bottom) and rinse every 12 hours for estelar results
