    This is how to demo a product. Well done man.
    This takes a lot of work for those who don’t know.

    Nice refreshing, unbiased, and direct to-the-point review! The humor also fits, without dragging things out with a lot of chatter like most other reviewers.

    I'm updating from a Polytune 3 to a Polytune 3 Noir just to save space. It hurts but I'll take the pain. Thanks for the video.

    Nice job man. Really like how you incorporate lots of elements... including the humor! Being able to have the pedal come on with the ES8 would really be helpful... but I'm going to keep my 2 until its not working. Maybe by then you'll have a review on the Poly 4 or 5 lol.

    Great video! It answered every question I had about this tuner. Thanks!

    If I understand well, another difference between version 2 and 3 is the input impedance: 500kOhm for v2, 1MOhm for v3. Higher input impedance can be better for passive instruments.

    Good review and I really appreciate your thorough testing on the accuracy... I bought a Polytune 3 (full size) several years ago and I returned it the very next day because I strongly felt the base chromatic tuning was off! I unfortunately didn't even mess with the strobe mode, wish I had, but I returned it and got the Peterson stomp HD and it felt dead on immediately, plus I really prefer the display but that's just subjective opinion. I also tried a Polytune clip... same deal, returned it and ended up with a Peterson clip lol which has been great. I didn't like the TU3 either, the Peterson stuff just always sounds dead on when I'm done doing a full intonation and tuning... sorry if I sound like I work for them, just have nothing but good things to say about em!
    I've recently revisited the idea of picking up another PT3 primarily because I want to have buffer at the start and end of my pedal chain and the StroboStomp HD is already perfect as the first pedal in my signal chain (high quality buffer with 100 Ohm output) so I was going to toss a BonaFide buffer at the very end but I can get the damn PT3 for a few more bucks and then have a more diverse option, etc.
    One thing telling about the PT3... neither Guitar Center nor my local music store even carry TC Electronic pedals anymore... might be politics, but I've seen an awful lot of complaints about failures with these pedals and to see that neither GC or my local shop (which is pretty large!) even carry them at all? That seems odd... they are readily available on Sweetwater and AMZN though.
    That said, I am going to pick up another PT3 mostly for the buffer and having a backup / alternate tuner for another $20-30 (full size vs mini) just seems like a good option to me at least.

    That was way more entertaining than it had a right to be and even more insightful than I hoped. Awesome. Thank you.
    One question: If you set it to strobe mode, will it remember this setting next time it powers up?

    Nice demo. I have an old Korg pitchblack (cca 10y) and I'm happy with it, the only thing I wish it had is always on mode.
    Good observation from you noticing that Polytune in always on mode doesn't show if it's muted. Seems like a pretty unnecessary design flaw to me.

  • @OscarBenben
    @OscarBenben Před 2 lety +3

    Conclusion : strobe mode is dope.
    Thumbs up and a sub to you I think you are making a great work 🤘🏼 the only thing is that I would added a « how to activate the different modes » because I still don’t know what should I push on the pedal to activate the strobe mode

    • @ManBunMetalHead
      @ManBunMetalHead  Před 2 lety +3

      All you need to do to change the tuning mode is hold down the tuning mode button on the right side of the pedal for a few seconds.

    @ManBunMetalHead hey, can you recommend a good power adapter for the pedal?

    • @ManBunMetalHead
      @ManBunMetalHead  Před 9 měsíci +1

      If you need to power only the Polytune the TrueTone 1 Spot is great. If you need to power multiple the TrueTone CS6 and CS12 are great.

  • @johncrush4362

    What does he say at 2:59.
    "You can then step on your footswitch to (be?) your signal in tune?
    And what's he saying after is the only downside to always on mode?

    • @RobJMeronek
      @RobJMeronek Před rokem

      He’s saying that in always on mode you can silence it by pressing the foot switch to tune quietly, but unlike regular mode the display turning on won’t tell you that it’s on and silent. Easy to pick up on with your ears, but easier still with the visual cue as well.

      Too wordy. Effeminate snowflake is trademarked by most independent fundamental baptist churches so be careful using that wording. Especially near movie theaters and contemporary Christian music concerts. I’m glad I could educate you a little. Don’t apologize for taking up my time. It’s a pleasure to help others using otherwise useless information.
