    beautiful portrait! the main difference between traditional gouache and acrylic gouache is that traditional gouache can be re-wet easily like watercolour and acrylic gouache dries permanently.

    From what I heard it's convenient to have them in jelly cups and it comes in a lot of colours for art students that don't have enough time to take out individual paint tubes and mix a bunch of colours because they need to paint quickly

    i really like your style of painting portraits in guoache 😍. i would love to watch longer videos in which you talk about your whole process and thoughts while painting😁. i find it difficult to do portraits in gouache because of its consistency and tendency of paints to get muddy.

    Thank you for sharing this beautiful painting process. Actually I really like your style so much and you create everytime amazing pieces. Somehow I have these paints which I didn’t like them. Honestly I would not advice anyone who paints like your style. Your style is amazing! I beleive that these paints are more suitable for different style of works.
    Maybe some artists handled how to make good art with this paints but I advice to beginners to buy 3-4 quality prime colors instead buying this set. It’s hard to love gouache with this paints.
    I started to painting in gouache with affordable Turner gouache paint. I strongly advice to get them if you don’t have much budget.
    Thank you again for sharing this amazing painting process. Keep sharing please💕

      Thank you so much!, I’m glad you liked it!, I know what you are trying to convey but it was just a review. The paints are student grade and you can’t expect too much from these, There’s a lot of paint with a good variety of colours and a lot of people already have these so I tried to show that we can paint a decent portrait out of these paints and you don’t always need expensive materials to just practice specially if can’t afford one or not thinking of selling it. Personally I’ll just stick with my Winsor and Newton’s gouache for regular works but for more informal sketchbook art I’ll definitely use these, they are good!

    You paint so good!!! Can you make a video how you make skin color?? Its kinda hard for me to make skintone with my himi gouache😭 it gives a muddy color

    • @dishashr
      @dishashr  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much!, I’ve a video on mixing any colour with gouache you can use the same steps for himi gouache or basically any medium, I’ll try to put together a video on skintones as soon as possible!

    I got a bigger set of these and they all dried out even though the cover is rubbery like a sponge. I was bummed. Did you notice this problem

    • @dishashr
      @dishashr  Před 2 lety

      Yes I did!, they dry quickly, this is because there are faults in the design and functionality of these, that’s why I said in the video that I’ll buy them again only if they start packing these up in tubes!

    I also noticed that you kept saying the jelly gouache is different from normal gouache? I hope you realize that jelly gouache IS normal gouache. I have the himi gouache set it works very well and is highly quality. You did an amazing job though.

  • @rubiess5246
    @rubiess5246 Před 2 lety

    This himi gouache is definitely fake!!! Gouache is supposed to be more opaque it should never look that streaky. There is no difference between normal gouache and jelly gouache

    • @loati94
      @loati94 Před 2 lety +2

      Could it be? I think it is the first review I've seen of this gouache being so transparent and streaky but who knows. Jess Chung uses himi and she makes the most beautifully blended paintings I've seen with gouache. And the times I've seen Hamrib use himi the blends were beautiful too. Makes me wonder.
