Dart, also known as D'artagnan, was a small creature originating from The Upside Down discovered by Dustin Henderson, rummaging for food in a trash can. Little did Dustin know at the time, his new pet was only in the first stage of it's metamorphosis, and if unchecked, would soon grow into the terrifying monster that plagued Hawkins less than one year before: The Demogorgon.
Dart is just one member of an entire army of Demodogs raised to attack Hawkins in 1984. In this video I'll go over their ENTIRE history, analyze each stage or form of their metamorphosis (their transformation from tiny slug to terrifying demogorgon) and take a deeper look at their biology using comparisons to some similar creature from our world.
I'll also fully explain their connection to the 3 Musketeers chocolate bar, how they all worked together as a hive mind, and discuss their assault on the Hawkins Lab and how the humans they came up against were really able to escape. I'll even highlight the parallels between Dustin's situation with Dart, and the 1984 film: Gremlins.
This video will focus on the pack seen in Season 2 of Stranger Things, and other videos will cover related topics like the original Demogorgon and the pack leader: The Mind Flayer.

Dart was such a great Demo-Dog! It was emotional seeing it and Dustin reuniting in its final moments before it got cut off from The Mind Flayer. Part of me wishes Dart would’ve survived, but it was a truly great story arc while it lasted.

As a lab worker, we do put the postdissect rats/mice in the refrigerator. For that part, it is pretty scientifically accurate. But we only put them there for later disposal..

Theory: The species could be part of the Graboids species (Graboids from tremors) I say that because, Graboids have no eyes and has a kind of a beak like the Demos. Like the Demohounds, Graboids 2nd form are like a demo dog and demo hound, they are in a demo hound shape except they have no arms and have 2 legs they stand on. Graboids 3rd form, are a demo dog shape, they are called an “A$$ Blaster” also the 2nd graboid forms name is “Shrieker”, but the A$$ Blasters get their name from fire coming from their, butt… it sends the, into the air, which makes him glide. The 1st form for Demo Dog, could be the 5th, Demo Dog 2, 6th form, Demo 2, 7th. It’s the same for anything else I forgot, the demo could be the 8th or 9th.

I have a theory about Dart surviving. As u know, dart did not go to that fire in the underground tunnels. So maybe he has a mind of his own. When the mind flair got cut of from Earth, you can see that all the demo dogs except for dart died instantly whilst dart did not. Since he did not die instantly, he might have survived.

I dont know enough Stranger Things lore to be sure but is it possible that the Demogorgan is just the Demodogs at a later stage of evolution?

It's possible but now after we've seen the upside down bats we know that there are other creatures there so it very well might be its own species. I don't think he should include that in the video tho since there really is no proof of that except the fact that they have a similar flower like mouth. But with how quickly Dart has grown and evolved I think that the dogs would continue evolving if they were smaller demogorgans.

There’s something called an elder brain in dungeons and dragons and so basically the mind flares are in a colony and in that colony is controlled by an elder brain kind of like the mind flares are the Dema dogs and the mind flayer is like the elder brain

I feel like if Dart wasn't evil he could have been a big help like they could learn a lot with him like they could learn a weakness and dart could help fight the one in season 3 where he is a fully grown Demogorgon
Would have been cool, but the issue is, if the Arachnotitan was damaged, Dart would have been damaged too because of the Hive mind

technically, the first stage of the demogorgon is a slug/larva
When I encounter the Demogorgons the Demodogs Dart and the Mind Flayer I'll battle them brutally and savagely in Upside Down, I'll use a special tranquilliser dart that works in three stages that then I'll use them for my experiments on bringing about the next level of human & dinosaur evolution:
Stage 1: Temporary blindness.
Stage 2: Partial paralysis.
And finally Stage 3: Complete shutdown of all motor skills. Totally humane.

Since in S4 V2 we learn that Vecna controls or is the Mind Flayer in some form, is it Vecna that tapped into Will's mind or is it the mind flayer? The new season confused me a little bit.
My understanding is that Vecna is the one controlling everything else. So then technically both would be correct. Will was directly controlled by the mind flayer, which was in turn controlled by Vecna.

There is one theory I had recently that after watching season 4. It’s probably not true, but I still like to think it’s possible. In season 4 it’s established that Demogorgons and therefore Demodogs are separate entities from the Mindflayer. Because we see them roaming the Upside Down when Creel was banished to the Upside Down in the 70’s. And in season 2 it’s established that if a mind has become part of Vecna’s hive mind, their mind dies if the hive mind gets separated. That’s why in season 2, the group needed to sever Will’s mind from the hive mind before closing the gate otherwise Will would die, which is proven in how all the Demodogs die once the gate is closed despite them having separate concisenesses from Vecna’s. But, in season 2 we see Dustin break Dart away from the hive mind in order to let them escape. There could be a chance that Dart might have survived the closing of the original gate and is still alive in the Rightside Up. I know this theory has a lot of holes like where Dart could have been for the last 2 years? What he could have eaten? How no one’s seen a fully grown Demogorgon around Hawkins for 2 years? But one, the group have never revisited those tunnels since 1984, and two, I just want to see Dustin commanding a full grown Demogorgon to take down whatever monster Vecna has next. Regardless if you think this theory is rubbish or not. Tell me you wouldn’t want to see Dustin command a full grown Demogorgon.
