I didn't know you're based in Indonesia! Good to know another FP enthusiast is here 😁
Terimakasih✨
Oh and the "different boldness" you indicate is due to the grind of the nib. Lamy nibs have a quasi-architect grind, which is long(vertical) and thin(horizontal) at the tip. You can see it with bare eyes or under amplifying lens. That is why it writes thicker at horizontal strokes and thinner at vertical ones. Some like this feature and some others not. Lamy Safari has the same grind if you look closely, but on its steel nib the effect is less significant.
Well noted☺️Thanks for the info❤️
I like your videos keep it up! I've had great success using my Lamy 2000 with Noodler's Heart of Darkness. A lot of Noodler's black inks are very saturated and dark. Also, heard that a lot of people recommend shaking the Noodler's bottle a little before filling a pen. Most of Noodler's inks are so saturated that the ink settles toward the bottom like shimmer inks.
Thanks for the tip on the noodlers! Will do that next time☺️ thanks for always watching my videos♥️
you carry your Pilot VP upside down o.O runs screaming for the hills.... I really wish I had mine in an EF instead of M, but still love it :)
Hahaha sorry bout the vp, its rarely inside though lol try getting the ef nib of the dupe the majohn A1 i heard it can fit perfectly so your wish of having an M is granted😉
Lamy 2000 is a really wet pen, therefore, wet inks, sich as Pilot and sailor will run crazy in it and cause problems on paper. I would suggest to use dry European inks. Of course Lamy inks are a good match. Special Diamine inks (those with shimmer or sheen) are my favourite for this pen. Lamy 2000 can be disassembled by hand, which makes it easier to clean and hence, a good choice for high maintenance inks.
I am still scared to use shimmer inks on my Lamy 2000,will brave it one day🤭 I don’t have a Lamy ink in my stash, any other reco? Thanks for your insights, much appreciated🙏🏻
I have the Pelikan M800 and M200, i see you got the nice M400 im leaning on ef on Pelikans, i have fine but writes like medium, it is smooth though. Try Diamine ink on your Pelikan, it behave better than Iroshizuku Pilot. Like Diamine Macassar, Ancient Copper, Damson, Jet Black, Midnight Blue. Also when you use Clairfontaine paper it will write thinner, then I use my Pelikan M800 Fine, otherwise i use EF nib on cheaper paper.
oh wow, thanks for the suggestions. will def try diamine to my m400.♥️
I agree about the finer nibs. My hand writing is much better with finer nibs. I have 2 Pelikans that I think are gorgeous but really need the EF ground to EEF so I am happier with the writing experience.
Yesss Pelikan is a smooth writer just need a lil bit of tuning on the nib for our liking lol thanks for watching♥️
Where did you get that lovely case?
It is the Galen leather 5 pen molded case but that color is out of stock. Here’s another one: www.galenleather.com/products/the-old-school-leather-molded-pen-case-for-5-pens-distressed-leather
