Definitely user error because I can get my hair super straight, however it does not eliminate my flat iron, just sets me up for a good silk press. You have to use small sections and go slow. Start at the root first and hold the roots taunt. After the roots are dry then you brush through the ends. đ
Spot on, well said. Thereâs definitely an art to this, I bought a different model and itâs taken two attempts to get it down and now Iâm confident. You still need to keep your hair taught while using the brush, I liked that you mentioned that.
Thereâs a technique to using it. Similar to the round brush technique. You have to constantly roll the dryer while keeping your hair taut on the bristles to get the â2-in-1â round brush effect. đ
the problem isnt that though. its not straightening my roots out anywhere even close to my regular blowdryer. its still superrr poofy.
@@jeniseadriana yea, itâs not going to straighten your roots. itâs for people who like the big hair blowout look
@@jeniseadriana Ah makes sense. Might be better as a striking tool than anything else. The revlon paddle brush blow dryer works a lot better on thicker coarser hair. I swear by it.
Yeah i agree with you, itâs the technique because she wasnât round brushing at all and I have 4C kinky hair and it gets my hair so straight I donât even flat iron most of the time, thatâs weird how she didnât like it, I think someone needs to try it on her hair and show her cuz her hair texture is amazing and I know it will do well, also needs a heat protectant like she stated before
They make a smaller brush. I use the smaller brush for my rootsâŠ.I use this one for everywhere elseâŠ..
You the first person I've seen who isn't praising this brush dryer. I'm still gonna get it and I'm excited
Yep I love mine, definitely user error⊠she was brushing through the hair super fast instead of slow and controlled, also wasnât rolling the brush like everybody else that uses this does
I have ordered it ( the detached head one) before seeing this review. I already have Nicky clark that makes my hair silky smooth. I am worried now after seeing this review. How is it going with you, do you have curly hair?
I had the same problem with this dryer! I had to go back and watch some CZcams tutorials to finally get it right. You really have to roll it like a round brush and go on top and under the hair. Also, I would try using smaller sections. Hope this helps!
Girl I just got this blow dryer bout a month ago and I love it! You def have to keep your hair taut and roll as you brush. You should give it another chance
I got the new and improved one and I absolutely love it. It doesnât replace the flat iron but it does come close. You have to use it like a round brush. I used it on my daughter too and she has THICK police hair and I got her roots straight with it
Based off of the way that you used the brush, you might like their paddle brush blow dryer more. Design essentials HCO leave in Spray is a leave in conditioner and heat protectant that I always used for blow drying hair.
Itâs just a blowdryer, def not supposed to replace a flat iron. But it does help a ton for those of us who do not know how to round brush our own hair. You have to take your time with it, go slower and roll it out like you would with a round brush.
Yeah, I think with the Revlon brush, you have to be more patient. I have both blow dryers, and the silver bird does is faster and hotter. But the Revlon gets my hair straighter and softer. Also, I think your hair was puffy in the middle after using the Revlon because it wasn't dry. I usually have to have my hair taunt and roll it for it to dry. But the aftermath was beautiful love it!
Kenra blow dry spray & silkening gloss are great! đ€
You have to use the side where the heat comes from if you do sections and use the sides it will be straighter quicker. I usually just hold the ends of my hair and use a regular blow dryer to get it mostly dry then go back with this. Great silk press results
you have to use it one section at a time, like you would a round brush. my hair is curlier and thicker than yours and itâs my favorite tool! i will still follow up with a flat iron.
I have it and itâs not meant to eliminate the flat iron AT ALLđ but I think you should have took smaller section and went slower on each section. Thatâs how I achieve the best results with it. It gives a nice blowout but donât get to the roots ( I usually curl my hair afterwards to have a voluminous curl look so it doesnât bother me that much )
slower!? giiiirl lmao, i'd still be using that damn thing now if i did smaller sections and went slower đ my roots were SUPERRRRR thick lmao. it was no stepping out of the house like that lmao.
@@jeniseadriana girl its a round brush lol you never rolled it you just went straight like a paddle brush. But it was still cute but u only like straight
As far as the health of your hair goes, you have a soft texture hair and get great results with a blow dryer. Try 1 pass with the flat iron after your next trim and see if you notice a difference in your hair after a few months â€ïž I think it might help
You have to concentrate the heat more on your roots (with any blow dryer) and the ends. You should try it again, it does work.
Iâve heard that the Revlon one step volumizer plus dryer is better for getting the roots because itâs more of a oval shape and itâs smaller Iâve seen a few tutorials of it but they use the round brush blowout technique to get the hair straightened
I absolutely love this revlon dryer. I could NEVER do a silk press. I have super thick hair. My fav heat protectant is Mirzani leave in cream. Works zero heat damage. In my opinion you are moving it through the hair too fast. Try sectioning your hair in 4. Take smaller sections and pass the brush under not over the hair. Itâs basically the round brush technique. But your hair still came out beautiful.
Hola una pregunta ,y si el cabello es fino es conveniente usar el cepillo revlon...Xq mi cabello es rizado tipo 4a,pero fino.....no lo rompe el cabello al tensarlo..?????
I'm new here been watching for a while love your content. Your hair looks amazing đ
This reminded me of the Melanin haircair line. Obsessed with the shampoo and leave in conditioner. Thank you!! Iâm excited to use what I have for this technique đđœ
I love the revlon brush dryer. I still use my flat iron afterwards but just briefly. So it does straighten for me, just not pin straight. Which silk presser are you using here?
Your hair has grown so much!
Hi there! Thanks so much for putting me onto Luseta! Lately, I've been into researching the ingredients of the products that I use and believe it or not there are very few sulfate, paraben, gluten free. So I'm excited to give them a try!
You're welcome! I hope you love!
@@jeniseadriana thank you! I ordered the Marula oil travel set just to try it đ
I have this same blow dryer and had to switch to my other one with the comb attachment. It took way too long to dry. Glad Iâm not the only one. We have the same texture!
My hair is like your hair and i use the revelon and is work with me but you have to split your hair in small parts and use hair dryer on small strands and wrap the hair inside in order to get beautiful hair.
Can you do a video on how you achieve your beach wave curls on your natural hair? I love that style
yes ma'am!
I know im a bit late but I just got the brush but its the plus version my hair is relaxed however I still have curls, thickness and I love the brush its better than using a reg. blowdryer for me, it got my hair pretty straight.
The plus has like 5 diff settings I think you'll like the plus better & you also have to rotate the bush through your hair while using it too, lol I think you should try it again
I also just picked up the Kenra thermal protectant and I heard it was bomb so we gonna see
How do you like the products roughly a year later? Iâm hearing good things about Kenra. Howâs the blow dryer?
Really really beautiful results!!
I don't use this for my roots at all. I do one pass at the root with a regular blow dryer. And then part my hair thoroughly with clips so that you do fewer passes and less time. I'd suggest doing maybe 6 or 7 parts with clips. And similar to other comments, you should do a similar pass-through as using a round brush with a blow dryer instead of going straight down. You will likely have a little bit of a bump at the bottom once you're done but you'll have wayyy more volume which I love about the product. To save time when I want bone straight hair, I will usually rotate each pass between the Revlon and a straightener so by the time you get to the top of your head you're basically done. I hope this helps!
Adding a comment to say that I also don't have your same hair type so my process might be different from what you need but this process is what worked for me.
Lawd, this sounds like a lot sis lmao. I think Iâm going to stick with my handy dandy old-fashioned blow dryer. Iâm glad it works for some of yâall đ
@@jeniseadriana I hear you! If it ainât broke, donât fix it. Loved the video! Thanks for sharing.
I have the paddle brush one and it works really good plus it gets super hot
Same I use the paddle brush one and itâs a time saver
I like the chi heat protection with the silk blow dry spray
I love biosilk silk infusion! itâs sooo good đ€âš
I just purchased and used mine!!! I have 4Z (yes Z) hair!! This dryer is such a blessing!!! I didnât purchase it for the volume. I just have trouble prepping my hair for pressing. This dryer worked exceptionally well for me, even better than a dryer with a comb attachment!! It definitely doesnât get too hot, just hot enough. You have to use the right method though
igk good behavior spirulina protein smoothing spray for the heat protectant recommendation. & it smells AMAZING. the entire igk good behavior line is REALLY good!
Curls for daysâ€ïž The cheaper versions on Amazon work well. I never used the Revlon one.
I like garnier heat protectant. And I like gab union line(but it feels a lil greasy for me). But garnier doesnât disappoint in my eyes.
Beautiful hair looks so shiny âš
I love the heat protection spray from ion
I saw it on Tik Tok too and knew it wasnât gonna work. We have a similar hair texture. I use the InfinitiPro 3 in one styler and then I use a flat iron.
Also Iâd love to see more tutorials on how to curl your natural hair like lose waves type I always struggle I feel like đ
I bought one and I returned it the next day, the heat didn't seem to distribute evenly throughout the brush and I thought I was getting too much snagging. I tried to do the round brushing technique to get a little bend at the end and I thought the barrel was too big for that, and it was hard to get my roots dry. I know people like the paddle brush version too
Super hard to get my roots dry! I think Iâll just stick to the regular blow dryer lol.
Jenise would you offer or sell seamless clip ins ?
The InfinitiPRO by Conair is đ€đŸđ chefs kiss. I brought that instead of the revlon dryer and Iâm so happy because it actually gets the job done. I have a similar hair texture to yours, 3c/4a but fine, and I always get my hair as straight as I would get it with a regular dryer and brush.
wow your hair is so pretty and healthy.
đ
The red Tresemmé heat protectant is amazing, it dosent make your haire greasy
You know what Jenise now Iâm pausing this dam video and headed to ADD to my Amazon cart!đą I have a whole ass Sallyâs in my home đ„ŽIâm trying to cut back and stick to 1-2 brands #failed so excited to try this new line (shampoo/conditioner) now back to your video đ€
Exchange it for the revlon root booster it has different bristles & gives more of a round brush blow out result
Bio silk is a good heat protectant
Thermal Wonder by Kercare is a great heat protectant leave-in.
aww I was hoping u loved it like did lol it got my hair so nice and bouncy. but I rolled the dryer, I didn't go straight down like u did
I thought I was using the revlon dryer wrong too , I just knew it was finna get my hair straight and it definitely DIDNT đ definitely think you have to have a certain type of hair texture for that to actually straighten your hair. I was so excited to use it and it was a fail đą lol
i was even scrolling back through tiktok last night trying to figure out where i went wrong lol. tiktok lied to me đ
@@jeniseadriana swear đđđ
@@jeniseadriana I use it on my weave for quick touch ups. It doesnât agree with my 4c natural hair no matter the âtechniqueâ
I love your hair you really did an amazing job
The Tyche heat protectant w/Argan oiL spray is bomb, you and I have the same hair texture. You would absolutely love it!!!! Please try it and let me know how it works for you. đ
Sometimes people be lying and overhyping products especially if theyâre being sponsored. Also keep in mind that everything isnât for everyone.
I JUST bought the Luestaâs shampoo and conditioner at Marshallâs !! $5.99 for the small bottle
I agree on the Revlon dryer it was nothing to rave about. Its collecting dust now. Take a look at Pantene Pro-V 10 n 1 heat protectant. It's very reasonably priced and when I try more expensive ones I go back to this. My hair is so soft and protected after I blow dry it.
adding this to my new product list. thank you boo đ€
@@jeniseadriana Also you can get the Luseta sets at Marshall, TJ Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory. I will pick it up to see how it works for my texlaxed/hair Botox
Cantu Shea Butter Thermal Shield and Moroccanoil Perfect Defense Heat Protectant.
I heard great things about Kenra as well.
So i had the Bed Head version of this dryer. It got my hair pretty straight before pressing it. That one may work better đ€·đŸââïž
My recommendation use the amika blow dry spray you will definitely see a good blowout look girl
My revlon brush dryer actually get to hot got it from Amazon i have the light baby pink one
I understand what you were saying about your hair not being healthy, mines was the same way, it looked healthy and did whatever you wanted but it wasn't healthy. By the way, my name is Jenise too, lol. Keep up the good work, I also want to start a channel for hair and other things, but nervous lol. Question does the comb attachment fly off when you are blow drying your hair, how sturdy is it?
I Love Your Channel, Your Hair and Everything.
thank you so much babe âšđ€
I returned mine because it was way too hot! Like I had to put aloe on my neck afterwards! Iâm 3c/4a hair.
Gorgeous and so shiny!
What is the brand of your flat iron?
I'm curious why you said you got rid of some of your favorite products. My curiosity stems from them being your favorite which must be a good thing, but because you found those additives in them, you stop using them. Just a curious question. I'm using Keratase and was afraid it was breaking my hair off, but I started using Kreyol Haitian Black Caster Oil and my hair is silky and bouncy. For the kitchen, I combine water, Melani, BCO and it keeps it smooth.
Your hair texture looks like mines and I have fine hair and I need heat and flat iron, but I do love the Golden Hot flat brush.
What is the name of that straightener???đ„°
That shampoo n conditioner brand i see at ROSS n TJMAXX all the time hmmmm might be worth a try.
P.S. chi silk infusion keratin is my go to heat protectant. Smells amzing, thicc serum based oil so a lil goes a long way. Hope that helpedđ
you looks so prettyđđ„°
Isn't it best to use sulfate products if you're flat ironing your hair? I just want to know because I just started straightening hair
to use sulfate products? no they're harmful to your hair & scalp babe.
Do you relax your hair?
I use it to touch up my flat iron after a couple of days
What brand are these straighteners please? Great results
Check the description babe
ION STYLING HEAT PROTECTANT! Will have your hair on silk!!! janay mickles use to always use it!!! Itâs sooooo bomb
Your hair was too wet in my opinion, other than starting on partially air dried hair, I also hold the brush horizontally and roll it like a round brush and it works pretty well for mine and my daughters hair. You may have to check the settings again because it gets really hot, maybe you were on the warm or cool setting. But your hair came out so pretty in the end so stick with your og hair dryer if it works for you!
I bought the paddle brush revlon and returned twice! Iâll stick to the silver bird
I think with the blow dryer you werenât going slow enough, and you didnât have enough tension for it to actually straighten your hair. I have this same one and it always get my hair almost straight and i have THICK hair
gosh i guess i'm just not really impressed bc im not looking to take more time getting my hair straight lol. i want to speed up the process not slow it down.
@@jeniseadriana i understand lol
Hi I have the same blow dryer and I got amazing hair!! It helps a lot to my curly hair!! Love it!!đ
I bought the Revlon dryer brush and didn't like it so I returned it and got the Hot Tools version. Sooooo much better
How many month had it been since your cut? Just trying to see sum cause i recently big chop my hair is the length of your video 10 months ago when its a side part with a curl
Honestly, I cut my hair all the time lol. I've lost count.
@@jeniseadrianađ i get it
I have hair like you and that blow dryer I think it works best on me semi damp hair with Ic fantasies heat protectant
You have to roll the brush as you do a section. And take smaller sections
Trust me , use it again!!! I have similar hair to you and I can get it pretty flat!!!
Your hair looks great
you're so pretty đ
I agree it is not for all type of hair like they want to promoted it happen to me too
If you try the Revlon brush again, please can you re-record like an update vidoe? i think you're supposed to do it in smaller sections and not go so fast (watching from the UK!) x
This brush is meant to stretch your hair, not straiten it. That prevents heat damage.â€đ
Lmao yeah⊠unfortunately the new round brush blow dryers that are poppinâ rn are NOT for black hair. I have one! But I only use it after my silk press to give me body and light curls similar to a blowout. Thatâs it :/
I bought this a awhile ago and I thought my hair was going to come out like the reviews also but it looked just like yours after you were finished lmao
Lmao Iâm laughing cause itâs a round brush and you just stroking your hair with it like itâs a regular brush đđI hope you did an update video(all love sis literally cutest buyer error đđ
Marshalls sells that shampoo brand as well. đ
Kenra Blow Dry Spray or IGK Good Behavior Smoothing Spray
It's pretty!!đ
I think i missed it, what did you use in your hair for the sheen?
sometimes i use olaplex bonding oil or hask keratin oil.
there is a smaller brush that helps hit the roots more but youre also not using this properly. i hope you search more videos on how to use because it can really smooth your hair out. it wont be pin straight but it could eliminate having to touch a flat iron to the ends
Looks cute đ
I just bought mine didn't work on me either.
How did your arms feel when you finished ? Mine got tired just by watching you lol
Loreal has a great heat protector spray
Is your hair heat trained?
