  • Planting green beans with a planet, Junior number four seeder, and planting potatoes, using the 1949 Farmall to dig the trench. Cool under tractor views, and slow motion of planter.

    As a young girl, I remember going to my grandparents to help them with their garden. Grandpa would always put out a big garden 10 acres, corn, potatoes, green beans, tomatoes. He also had Farm animals I remember milking the cows , feeding the chickens pigs, I wished I would’ve paid more attention back then they didn’t go to the store a lot most of everything they ate, was either butchered or grown and you know they live to be ripe old age’s. I enjoy watching your videos because you do a lot of things the old ways.

    Thanks for showing the planter details. My sister found one in great condition in a neighbor's trash, we plan to use it soon.

    Hey brother, I just watched,I planted 🌻 that's it this year. I'll just watch you and your daughter's 😉👊I believe much fruit will be produced ❤❤❤❤

    Interesting, swapping the cultivator bar to the other side to get it to run in the center. Good way to get buy if you don't have the square bar or middle bar to hang a foot off of.

    Looks great! Tell Emily we enjoy seeing her in the videos. Sorry You Tube unsubscribed us and we haven't been online because busy planting and getting the yard and flowerbeds in shape. Also enjoying our spring farm animals, a doe goat kid, a Jersey heifer and chicks for butcher and eggs. Milking again twice daily, the cow is giving us 3-1/2 gallons a day with the calf taking all she wants. Making cheese, yogurt and butter several times a week, plus selling our extra which helps offset the feed bill. Can't wait to see your garden when it's up. Have a blessed week Jerry and Emily.

    To be honest, i think a mix of fruit trees would be great with the little piece of farmland, like Apple, Pear, Peach, Plum and a Cherry tree maybe, the dead leafs could potentially be worked into the dirt, but i'm not big into farming so i dunno if that's possible.

    Howdy y’all- I grew up in the garden. That was my job as a kid to keep the weeds all pulled out. Grow lots and eat good. God bless

    I would love to see your process on marking your rows for using the planet Jr. I have a walk behind seeder and recently got a one row cultivator. My first time gardening this size plot. I’m having a hard time figuring out an efficient way to mark my rows for seeding and spacing that will work congruently with my cultivator so I don’t have my crops too close to use the tractor/cultivator. I recently planted and measured every row by hand using a line and stake. Do you have any advice or tips?

      I use tire tracks and then mark in-between the tracks, works like a charm

    Good video my friend ! But are you not worried about animals eating your garden up ? Or neighbors stealing your begins ? In montana we have all kinds of critters that would eat everything with no fence around the garden.. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA......

    • @logcabinlifestyle
      @logcabinlifestyle  Před rokem +1

      No, I don’t worry about anything. The critters should be worried about me eating them up. Lol. Stay tuned. I’m sure it will be a video

    You're planting above ground crops and root crops at the same time. Better gardeners use the moon to plant by.
