By far one of the best presented reviews I've seen, well done. Car looks great but too expensive. Not a lot of British about it now, built in China by a German company.

Lovely colour-combo. Back spoiler?..........It does look like a DIY addition, but not as bad as the new Countryman which just looks as if the design team gave up!

Calling a trim level John Cooper is ridiculous. But the same thing with the new ICE models. Plastic fantastic and horrible. I am sticking with my Level 3 SE and leather and only 110 miles. But then I do not run the ridiculous tyres BMW / MINI fit. They need All Season tyres. Then the wheel spin and torque steer goes. As proper tyres will do for these new MINI electric from China. Crazy tariffs coming though.
The tariff is crazy. It's already affecting Cupra especially on the upcoming Tavascan
In my opinion for a similar money you can buy more practical, powerful MG MG4 EV XPOWER

I'm having a hard time deciding whether I like this model or not....
For starters, I don't like the rear lights, I think they don't suit the whole "round" resign language mini has had over the year. Although they kinda look better with the JCW body kit. Sticking with the design, I hate how neither the ICE Cooper, Cooper S or JCW lack visible exhaust tips, they where so iconic :(
Now, as far as the interior goes, the main thing I don't like about it is the lack of soft materials materials, sure the cloth is nice and all but ,objectively, the previous generations feels and looks more expensive than this new one. I mean, the whole cabin is made out of hard plastics, having just the armrest and a little piece in the door area with soft material. This generation has lost the "premium" feeling, but kept the premium price tag.
Just a small point. It is not the compared to the standard S. It is now the 'Cooper E' small battery, less power or 'Cooper SE'. Nice review.

Just for rich nobheads and children who don’t realise they will never afford it 👍👊🫡 on anything mate sick channel . Gunna have to downgrade from a 19 plate focus 1.5 diesel st line x - for maybe an Ibiza fr sport DSG maybe . That focus was so capable I’m only 21 tbf ……… hopefully get the ST 2.3 in couple years 😫

looks like a suzuki swift. Mini doesn't look like a mini anymore. Also electric is restrictive, inconvenient, slow longer journey times and much worse maneuverability because of all that massive extra battery weight. No ! just no ! The EV database gives real world highway ranges of 170 miles in warm weather and 130 miles in cold weather - would only be any good as a second car.

We currently have a MINI Cooper S with a petrol engine. For us it’s enough and we don’t need a bigger car. And holiday trips to Italy also work just fine since it has a range of 500-600km on a full tank. The new electric MINI most certainly wouldn’t work for us due to its limited range. Current battery technology isn’t just there yet imho. Maybe in ten years when (semi) solid state batteries have become mainstream …
@woeye3251 I stupidly bought an electric car just over 8 years ago. After only just over 40k miles, it has 42% battery capacity and range degradation. I will never buy another EV, ever again !
