It's so wonderful that you get along so well. The world needs more sweet and kind people like the both of you. The apartment is cozy. The white and pinks and little pops of color are still simplistic and soothing. Loved your stylish clothing. Very pretty, you wear it with pizzazz. Lol.

As others have said, maybe some WD40 or other type of lube will help with the sticking sliding doors, also out out some flower boxes or potted plants outside. You’ll have to go on your balcony at least to water your plants every now and then. But really, your place looks great and you have an excellent roommate/friend relationship.

You can get your sliding door to open with no more problems by deep cleaning the bottom and top inside tracks.you have to clean them at least once a month.i use ammonia and hot water(never ever mix chemicals,you’ll create a toxic gas that will kill you).then you get an old towel that I cut up for cleaning rags.i get a kitchen knife and use i5 to tuck the rag in the tracks and drag it through the whole track.you do that several times.i also use the hose part of the vacuum cleaner to suck up any hard to get dirt and debris or debris that I got loosened up.
My hubby and I used to manage apartments and houses.we were also paid extra to clean and paint the apartments and houses.so I learned these tricks from professional cleaners.it really works for any type of tracks where doors,windows,slide.you have to keep them clean for the doors or windows to slide easily on the tracks.let me know how it works for you.love your apartment and I love the amount of sunlight that you get.y’all did a great job decorating.

That's a great deal for West Hollywood. I lived in West Hollywood back when I was in grad school--the Miracle Mile--and rents were insane then. And now are even more insane. I think my 2 bedroom townhouse now rents for 4K. You scored!

I've watched several of these episodes so far and I love, love, love this apartment!!!! I'm so jealous of the pink bathroom.
For the sliding doors for the backyard it could be the rollers became rustic. Or need some oil. Maybe 40DW and maybe it might help. Not a expert on doors but sometimes 40DW or something anti-rustic can work.

Off topic. Why do you wear shoes in the apartment with white carpets? I take off my shoes when I get inside the house. I'm Asian so maybe that's why I don't get it. If anyone wants to comment. Like and make a comment.
Jenny Mosley-Wu yeah, in America we don’t always take our shoes off. For other cultures it’s important to take your shoes off at the door, but I’d say for most Americans it’s not assumed. Someone will specifically tell you to take off your shoes if they want you to
I think it's just a preference also. I grew up in households where it was normal to walk with shoes indoors. I did the same in the first few apartments/houses I lived in and once I moved to a snow state and could more easily see the havoc it (dirt/snow/etc) recked on the floors/carpets- never again! Now our house is shoe free. It actually grosses me out to think of shoe dirt being tracked everywhere.
It was explained in the other comment that she did it only in front of the camera since it was not cute to be barefoot or in socks.
Cultural differences. That’s literally all. So many uppity comments in every video about shoes. Get over it!!

Blonde keeps saying “I decorated/bought” to drive home that she paid for mostly everything. The brunette gets these looks sometimes.
No Court is a total sweetheart!! And she really did most of the decorating so that’s why she spoke up on most parts haha :) as for my faces...it’s just a struggle to remember to keep a smile on for so long😭

The title "ballerina" is reserved for women who have worked their way up to the very top of their company as a principal dancer (takes years and is not an easy feat). She was a ballet dancer, not a ballerina. Anyway, I don't feel like this channel gives a realistic view of what you can TRULY get in L.A. for that price. I live just outside of Tampa, FL and a decent apartment in a safe, secure complex will run you around $1400 a month. I can't believe that $1900 is realistically attainable for anyone but the two living in that apartment right there. Simply said, they got LUCKY.

I pay $1800/month for my old one bedroom apartment in Sydney, Australia. 😭 I truly live in one of the most expensive cities in the world in terms of rent.
Nah - come to San Francisco. $1800 is not enough for a one-bedroom here.
Chunk it’s not enough here but I got lucky cuz I haggled with the landlord since I sorta knew them. Also it’s not the most modern apartment (built circa 1920s) :)

that's not true. they got a steal, you got a lemon. there are studios in LA, SF, NYC and other major cities in US that go for more than $1.8k USD.

The price is good for W. Hollywood and it looks bigger than 800 plus square feet.
That's a pretty large space...and I like the view from the apartment...looks like I nice neighborhood. I miss Cali (San Diego) lol.

That's a lovely place and it's decorated beautifully. Also, excellent price. Shame she can't have her dog there. I would never be able to move into a place that didn't allow cats. The only other bad thing is, why does building management only give one parking space for a two-bedroom apartment? That's insane.

I would appreciate a Chicago series and reach out to lower-income folks who are thrifty. Hell, I'd be willing to host Refinery29 in my space! While there's no doubt that some of these prices are "technically affordable" for some of the areas mentioned, there are many people who can't afford to live like this, but manage to make their spaces beautiful and personal regardless.

usernameformychannel depends on the job. but i would say to have a decent living 75,000+ a year is nice. of course there are people that make less and people that make more. The average salary in LA is ~65,000.

Check out Yonkers, NY Waterfront area. About 18 min away from 42nd street on the Metro North. Beautiful view of the river and dog friendly (if you love them) Also Riverdale, part of the Bronx but going into Westchester. Again outdoor cafes, safe, clean - near all types of public transportation. I am originally from NY. If you want to live in NYC and have no roommate prospects or neighborhood ideas, I suggest you move to something outside of NYC for the first year - network and then venture out to all NYC areas. Do not forget Brooklyn or Queens, they all have cool, trendy places. After that year, you can decipher where you really want to live. Also NYC apartments are slightly more difficult to get, credit and income are very important here unless you know someone who knows someone --- that's why networking is so important. Good luck on your move, future New Yorker.
