    Welcome to The Scented!
Today we are exploring sweet tuberose fragrances, which seem to have become a very popular category of fragrance with a lot of newer releases. A lot of these smell incredibly similar and it wouldn't make sense to own them all, unless you're a die hard tuberose fan. I'll let you know which ones are worth getting in my opinion, and why.
There all so similar, yet not all great!

This too I found out as I get deeper into perfumes. There are so many perfumes that are very much the same so it’s very important that we need to test them on our skin. For sure there’s gotta be one that will be perfect for your body chemistry and you would enjoy😉🙂❤️❤️❤️

I’m so glad I found your video, yesterday I was testing out some fragrances and there was L’Interdit next to So Scandal, so I tested both and thought something was wrong with my nose 🤣 and then I tested My Way Intense and couldn’t believe it. But now I’m glad I’m not the only one. For me L’Interdit Eau de Parfum is the best out of the three, because it has a little bit more spicy notes ❤️

I have a Love/Hate relationship with tuberose and Ralph Lauren Woman is a really approachable and pleasant take on it. Effortlessly chic and feminine. Definitely the most safe to blind buy. L'interdit and its many flankers is a patchouli nightmare for me. My Way was ok but failed to wow me.

  • @ad8050

Tuberose is the only white floral that I really struggle with and find it too sweet and headache inducing. The entire Scandal line is frankly diabetes inducing levels of sweet, and while I love the fresh, pretty opening of My Way, the bubblegummy drydown also becomes too overpowering for my taste. Of the tuberose scents that I've tried, I only really enjoy L'Interdit Intense, which is lovely and deep, but for cold winter months only. I love the idea of comparing perfumes by notes, I hope you do some more similar videos in the future! 💖

Tuberose is one of my favorite notes in perfumery but I found something repelling in the Scandal range, too sweet, too aggressive in every aspect, especially Scandal By Night. L'Interdit was love at first sniff, overpowering for some but somehow I smelled it and in an instant I thought "This is my type of tuberose. This is me in a bottle." My Way is also something I enjoy but I prefer L'Inderdit.

To each their own, every fragrance is different to different people. It’s a personal experience. I liked the smell of my way and the flankers but they didn’t last long enough. I like the so scandal better because it last, the dry down is so pretty. I will try the new Armani My Way parfum , when it’s finally released but until then, I’ll stick to the So scandal . I don’t feel like I need more than a couple tuberose fragrances. I just remembered, I do have mancera wild python , that has a pretty tuberose in it, it’s more on the floral side though . I enjoy the ones I have

Agree with your comments on all the bubble-gummy tuberose fragrances. I’m personally not a big fan of that scent profile. Elie Saab le parfum is not bubble-gummy at all, it has a strong sweetness from honey which I quite like. Have you tried L’Interdit Rouge? It’s the only one I like from the whole L’Interdit line. I have French family that always bring me fragrances that are either predominately tuberose or jasmine based. I don't have the heart to say anything, so it sits in my closet. That said, a lot of people talk about bubble-gum like tuberose ... my nose has never associated it with gum. I have Fracas, Diptyque - Do Son & Jo Malone Tuberose. None smell sweet to me ... just over powering.

Great comparison video! I don’t own My Way, the original, which I’ve tested several times and never bought because it’s just not for me, though it’s a beautiful scent with incredible lasting power. Literally lasts 12 + hours on my dry skin! Amazing value in that sense. I do prefer JPG Scandal’s raspberry and milk notes, but doesn’t last on my skin long enough to overwhelm me, and will eventually buy it with my shoppers points ❤️. Gotta say, the L’interdit line is my absolute favourite in designer fragrances for that powerful tuberose note. I am a tuberose lover and am saving up to own a full bottle of Carnal Flower, which, to me, is the closest to the tuberose I grew up with in India, as a child. Also, can’t wait to get Datura Noir. Great video! My preferred way to enjoy tuberose is in Diptyque Do Son EDT. I like it because it is fresh and light and not too sweet (super sweet tubereuses give me a headache). You are right that those perfumes smell very very similar...if I had to pick one I think I would choose one from the Givenchy line, possibly the EDP just because I love the packaging and marketing and I love Rooney Mara.
Can you please do a video comparing all the Armani Si line? I recently got the new 2021 Intense and it it amazing!!! I shouldn’t like it because I don’t really like rose or berries or patchouli but something about it smells fantastic and my partner loves it as well. Also has amazing longevity on me.
    Thanks for another lovely video!

I can’t believe I’m liking tuberose - and white florals - used to HATE them. What do you think about my way nectar or floral?

Great video. I wonder where you'd rank Tuberose Angelica by Jo Malone. I believe it has a lot of jasmine in it too and it's very clean.

You know what is bad for me? I am an older woman. And I catch these perfumers reusing formulas from many many decades ago, but acting like it is a new creation. So disappointing for me, when I blind buy something like that. The vintage formula of Anais Anais and Chantilly are also in many of the so-called new perfumes. I could just scream: STOP IT.
I know you are not a Versace enthusiast, but Versace Yellow Diamond does not smell like the past. And the dry down is not like the past.

True. D& G Light Blue smells just like a green-colored perfume in a white-frosted bottle that I used to buy 30 years ago. I can't remember the name of the original, but I am very happy to have found the scent again.

So interesting, tuberose is not for me and most of the time many tuberose scents are the same. For me the exception is kayali Deja vu. I love it and I cannot smell the tuberose in it! Not that I want to because if I couldn’t I wouldn’t like it anymore lol.

Which one is the most long lasting except for linterdict (idk how to spell it lol)? I’ve smelled all of them except for the Ralph Lauren n Dior one so I need to get my nose on those. And I don’t like the my way intense bc it’s just tuberose to me (nothing else is there compared to the og, which has a fresh sparkling opening) and the givenchy one smells too incensey for me. Which one is good for daily wear that’ll last thru out the day?

I am just starting out with Tuberose fragrances. I want to love Armani My Way but sadly it does not work on my body chemistry. I like Dior - J’adore Infinissime but it does not last on me. 🙁 I love Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori. It’s pretty, floral, and very strong projection. It is also very Polarizing to people. I also like Elie Saab Le Parfum and JPG So Scandal. I find Tuberose in fragrances very difficult to work with, depending on your body chemistry.

Fragrantica is messing me up. Those reviews prove how differently some people smell the same perfume. When the stores perfume counters open back, I plan to make a list and I want to try your favorites. I would be out of a small fortune with little to show for it, if I keep buying samples.

@@TheScented I live in NYC. And there are so many restrictions here that I do not shop. I am very sensitive and I have an artistic temperament and great self respect. So, I am unable to be pushed around by a bunch of herding rules implemented right now. Plus, I can’t breathe in a mask. . Therefore, I blind buy on line. But, I have made many $$$$ mistakes. When and if normality returns, I plan to sample what you love. You like a great variety. Very interesting. I love your videos. I will enjoy smelling the many niche perfumes that you like, as well. It is too expensive for me to blind buy niche. So, I only blind buy inexpensive perfumes. Mistakes still $$$ add up. Great video!

I love scandal I have scandal, scandal by night and so scandal and the Ralph lauren woman. But my way is lighter than JPG scandal. But really My way straight way remember me the Ralph lauren women and the all Jpg scandal. I still prefer Ralph lauren as a sophisticated and less heavy than scandal. But scandal are really sexy.
