- Burleigh Heads, which is simply Burleigh to locals, sits between Surfers Paradise to the north and Coolangatta to the south. It’s a picturesque suburb along the Gold Coast and definitely somewhere to have a stopover.
The beach enjoys popularity with those who like to swim in her protected waters and those who love to surf around the headland. On a day when it might be a little choppy everywhere else along the coast, you will find that there’s a protected corner at Burleigh in which to swim.
The Burleigh foreshore is home to the most picturesque towering fragrant pine trees characteristic of the coast.
As a bonus, in this parkland, there are plenty of places in which to enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Absolute oceanfront dining is to be enjoyed and there’s a growing café culture. New designers are also starting to appear in the shopping areas.

My first ever Ausie holiday destination,stayed at the Burleigh apartments,loved walking to the spit,best part was stopping off at the eatery's along the way and watching people do their thing,best shopping,best people love you all

This is done so well, really makes you feel like you're walking through there. I used to live on the Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise, now I visit & stay in Burleigh about once a year.
