You are right. I've been trying to detangle matted hair balls for two months now. I don't want to cut it bcz my hair is long. Does anyone have any other ideals? I've tried all the oils & some conditioners.
@@gethompson8319 I’m trying to figure that out as well. I haven’t brushed my hair in about 3 months and I have huge balls and sections of just matted hair. I’m scared I’m gonna have to cut my hair off
@@gethompson8319 Same here. My hair was shedding like crazy after a serious illness and I put it in four braids. I made the mistake of unbraiding and washing, without detangling first. All the shed hair got tangled up with the still attached hair and formed one big mat. I have tried everything I've seen in other youtube videos and nothing has worked. My hair is long too and I don't want to cut, but i may have to. I'm going to try the Paul Mitchell to see if that works. If not, I'll just have to cut.
@@gethompson8319 I just came upon this video because I developed a matted hair problem after surgery due to bed rest and I've been using Pantene smooth and sleek conditioner (ALOT OF IT) and olive oil and sleep with that in a shower cap...it's inconvenient and a pain to go through,but I'm hoping after a few treatments I will be able to get good results...so far I've had some progress👍
No it's matted. My hair does that and it's not just tangled, it's impossible to brush or comb. I literally have to stand there and patiently pull STRANDS out of the mat until all I'm left with is the mat itself. Then go to the next one and repeat until the whole head is done 😅 It can sometimes take hours and does this even when I don't neglect my hair. 🙂
