Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3: "Light 'Em Up" Spec Ops DLC Mission

- Welcome to the seventh MW3 DLC Spec Ops mission called "Light 'Em Up".
Your main objective is to rescue an ally hostage soldier from a hostile castle. You start on a little bird and you have to take out enemies in the courtyard who have intel on the location of the hostage. After you kill the guards holding this intel, you land and collect their intel. Then you get back on the heli which takes you on the main part of the castle where the hostage held captive. You will have to push through the inner castle courtyard to reach the hostage with the assistance of the little bird's searchlight. Once you get inside the castle and save the hostage, you will meet a fierce enemy counter-attack that will try to prevent you from escaping. Finally, when you and the hostage get back on the heli, you mark the area with a smoke grenade for an AC130 to fire and destroy the remaining enemy establishments in the castle as you leave the area.
*For those who complain about poor accuracy during the helicopter sequence keep the following in mind before you start complaining:*
My PC couldn't handle smooth recordings back then. Therefore I get some mouse lag sometimes and aiming precision in FPS games is really messed up. It's easy to see that with all the helicopter instability it's already hard to aim even without lag. Knowing this, the developers boosted player's weapon (SCAR-L) with extended mag and better hip fire accuracy. So I WAS expected to avoid aiming down the sight... simply because it would be way harder to be accurate with all the shaky helicopter movement. This plus the lag caused some parts of the helicopter sequence of the video to look bad.
*Given the above information I expect you to show understanding and not bitch about it because if you had the exact same conditions of recording, you wouldn't go really far without missing either.*

I don't call people trash if their aim is bad everyone has to start somewhere and eventually you'll get better at it and you'll get use to the lag and you'll aim better, and your aim is actually already very good bro

It took me about 10 minutes to finish this one. Thank you for the tutorial. I couldn't get past the first area after landing from the helicopter so I figured out trying to kill every enemy in the area isn't a good idea in Spec Ops in MW3 in general. Thanks.

I honestly prefer this mission to rather be a stealth mission so I can get away from the explosions and missile launchers
There's the campaign level itself that includes stealth on this map. Spec ops levels are meant to be "special" in a way. Introducing new interesting mechanics on each. Stealth wouldn't be new.

It's hard to tell whats going on through nightvision view. The smoke and the effect is making it hard to see but it's there. In Cod destroyed vehicles are replaced from their corresponding destroyed models, you can see that model in 0:51

The NPC probably switched weapons. It's common for RPG NPCs in COD.
I like how they don't start shooting at you when you where coming in with a heli. They must be blind until you stated to shoot at them first.
I've scripted such moments in my own maps, I get the idea.

No the system they have is fine but it takes a lot of understanding to use it properly.
Hmm. Soooo the stealth system ok?? Well I mean the character came in on a heli and the baddies didn't see you until you shot at them first. So for my opinion it needs to improve. ( Farcry games in opinion have better stealth then some cod games)
MW3 stealth system is based on COD4 stealth system which is a script that is included and utilized in each mission. COD4 2007, Far Cry stealth system firstly introduced in 2012. That's a big difference for scripts ot evolve plus a way better and more dynamic engine. Also, this mission is not a stealth mission, so i doubt they used stealth, they just gave the player a short window when he was boarding off the chopper. I doubt its stealth.

No, the helicopter movement and the recording lag makes it worse when aiming the sight. So not aiming is actually more effective when on helicopter.

Really wish they brought back the green night vision goggles instead of this kind.
There are various nightvision shaders in MW3, in the campaign mission Stronghold it's the green one you talk about, in this Spec Ops it's the greyscale one, and in Kill Switch they have a really poorly made dark green - grey one where you can't see nearly anything. This one is thermal vision so there you have it.

The chopper is very unstable I will be 10 times more inaccurate if I aim down sights.
+ Recording lag makes it worse!

It's a DLC mission, you buy it from the store. It's not in the original game.

Recording reduces FPS and mouse accuracy plus the helicopter is shaking too much...
They even modified the Scar-L in this mission only to hold a 40 round magazine exactly because it's harder to hit targets from the helicopter...
Watch the part after 2:35 where player is off the helicopter. See how better the accuracy is.
Have you tried the mission yourself on the helicopter part on PC?
Look at how the heli shakes his viewpoint dumpass... you expect too much from him.
