The end has a sweet and subtle beauty to it. I really enjoyed this one. Having grown up on the coast with summers at the shore and then a stint in the navy, I've always had an affinity towards the ocean. And a deep respect and fear as well. This story really resonated with some of those emotions. Kudos to the author for a well told story with depth.....pardon the pun

I really really like doing ads! I never, in a million years, would have thought I would feel that way about commercials.
Brian has that literary style that just pulls you deep into the language even though very little actually happens in his stories until the end. It always appeals to the English major in me. I’m very glad other people feel the same way.

Just for the sake of context, salt was once commonly used as currency. Also, wormwood is the most essential ingredient in absinthe. Absinthe is what made Talouse Lautrec rich and famous. Wormwood can be grown anywhere, but making Absinthe requires an artist.
Could someone help me find a story that Jason Hill narrated a while ago. It involved a forklift driver who has a chemical, that causes infectious acne, spilled on him. The body horror created by the story was amazing but I've never been able to remember the name of the short story.

Interesting tale. It was really captivating and unique. Is it really horror? I don't like slapping labels upon everything in order to neatly classify things into a specific genre especially when this story was so well imagined and written.
