  • Hey there, welcome back to the 7th video in our mini-series on WooCommerce 8 and WordPress 6.3! In this segment, we'll delve into the world of WooCommerce templates and explore how they can be customized to give your online store a unique look and feel.
In this video, I'll walk you through various WooCommerce templates, including product search results, products by attribute, products by category, and products by tag. We'll see how each template differs from the product catalogue and how to make changes to them.
We'll start by navigating to the front-end and examining the connections between product categories and products. I'll demonstrate how these templates automatically inherit the product catalogue template if they haven't been edited. But fear not, I'll also show you how to transform a placeholder template into individual blocks, allowing you to create a distinct layout for each template.
I'll also introduce you to the new command palette feature, making it easier to access and switch between templates effortlessly. We'll dive into the "Products by Category" template and make some modifications together, adjusting the columns view, removing the "Add to Cart" button, and changing the styling for the product title and price.
By the end of this video, you'll have a solid understanding of the different WooCommerce templates and how to customize them effectively. Whether you choose to keep them consistent or create unique designs for each, you'll be fully equipped to make your WooCommerce store stand out from the crowd.
Thanks for being part of this amazing mini-series! Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to stay updated on our future videos. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to leave a comment below. Happy template customization, and I'll see you in the next video!

The product category template is an under-appreciated and underused aspect of WooCommerce. You can use the edit category function to add SEO-optimized text to each category. Then, if you add the Category Name and Category Description blocks to the template, you'll increase the chances that the category pages will be ranked. This may be a bit advanced for your audience here, but I thought I would share this useful tip.
