The depression bit got me fuming. My dad got depressed as a side effect from heart surgery (surprisingly common), and YES it was due to the trauma the body endured during surgery. He has no history with depression. It was strictly due to brain chemistry and it made him impossible to help without medicine countering that side effect. Mental health is also physical, people. You can't work out to fix cancer ugh

I got covid for the first time last year. I remember people telling me "oh it's just like the flu, you'll be fine".
But like... people forget that the flu itself is pretty fucking brutal lol. I guess covid today is not as bad as the early variants and before the vaccine, but you'll still be zonked out for days without being able to do much of anything.
It's rough, but I hope you feel better soon!
My dad got the worst case of covid you could possibly get. Hospital bound, went under to get a ventilator, died 3 times while under, fell into a coma after the surgery for 3 weeks, and when he woke up he couldnt speak, couldn't move, he was almost in a vegetative state. My dad has no history of mental illness or any depression and became SEVERELY depressed while he was relearning everything he learned when he was a toddler. The depression segment got under my skin.
Goodness I’m so incredibly sorry your dad experienced that. I can’t even imagine how awful that was for him and for you…I hope he’s doing better now but I’m sure it’s quite an uphill battle ❤.
I'm so sorry about your dad. I hope he's feeling better. My grampa passed away from covid. He had a stroke, recovered fully from that and then caught covid at the rehab, right before he was about to be released. He was also on a ventilator but sadly, he passed. I watched him take his last breaths via video chat:'( We obviously weren't allowed to be in there. The next day, I was in a gas station and it was during the mask mandate. This lady came in and the cashier told her she needed a mask. The lady started screaming about she is not going to wear one and how covid wasn't real. I went OFF. I told her to STFU and that it was real enough to kill my grampa. I may have also called her a fat @ss b*tch. I was angry and I really can't tolerate ignorance, especially with the subject of covid.

In Marketing school the teacher had us do blind soda ('pop' here, lol) taste tests. She had like 3 different brand names and one no name pop. She set up stations of poured cups of each one and the whole class tried them all and discussed which was at each station, in depth describing the differences in taste down to every detail.
Every cup at all stations was filled with the no name pop and i have never trusted anything ever since 😂

Ethan tends to generalize comedians , but had a great take on Shane Gillis, and I believe there are dozens of other current comedians worth watching.

Vessi doesn’t fk around, they’re my favourite shoes hands down! I live in Canada and walk a ton in the winter, so I go through a pair every year and a half or so, but they’ve never let me down!

I remember and I'm not really sure what the point of making us watch it was. Obviously don't eat mcdonalds everyday, most of us were too poor to go to McDonald's that often anyway. But watching it didn't make me want to stop eating there if anything it made me crave some fries 😅

I’m not about to pretend to know much about the psychology of a public figure who I’ve never met, but I don’t know that I’ve ever seen such a lack of empathy from another person that’s so blatant and he’s profiting off of it… and influencing a child audience. It’s wild. He doesn’t even try to pretend to care about any of it. It’s genuinely scary af.
