Best ball for outdoor use ever made is SPALDING TF-500 (basic version, not some official league ball). That is a fact, proven one. It is made from a highly durable COMPOSITE LEATHER and it is a high quality and high performance ball that is just perfect. That ball not only last long, but stays sticky and keeps its shape from when new until the end. Not hyper sticky like rubber balls or some super-grip style basketballs, but sticky as any high performance ball should be, regardless if your hands are dry or moist - it sticks. And yes, all the games we play we play them with TF-500, regardless of other balls on the court. That says a lot.
DURABILITY: You get around 4-5 years (5-6 month a year) of heavy outdoor use until it becomes not destroyed, but to light. It is still usable but for me personally gets to light. But ok, it is still sticky and good for people that just want to shoot the hoop in casual manner.
Over the years (since i was 6-7, now 40 years old) i tried rubber, leather and composite leather basketballs from Nike (TrueGrip + some other leather models), Adidas (various rubber and leather StreetBall versions), Wilson, Mikasa, Spalding (Silver&Gold) and some other brands but for outdoor use not one comes even close to the TF-500. Good price (in USA way cheaper then in Europe) and as said, very high quality & high performance ball.
PS: When i did not like the ball i usually gave it away, MIKASA went away fastest :-) I do not know how ADIDAS StreetBalls are these days, but in my younger days they got finished in max. 2 seasons out, usually after only one season it became to slippy to be used in serious game. They looked phenomenally, but performed poorly - not very popular basketball. NIKE basketballs for some to me unknown reasons always lost their shape, regardless if you bought it for 15€ or 60€, simply not a durable ball. Sticky, felt good in the hand, but went out of shape very quickly. WILSON`s were always quite hard on the hands. Did not like the feel of them so stoped using them. Also not very popular ball from where i come from. And about other SPALDING basketballs - well, for indoor use there of course are many good basketballs, as with other mentioned manufacturers, except Mikasa of course, but for outdoor use there is only one that has it all - TF500 :-) Yes, it has what it takes to be the number 1 indeed.
    Cheers from Slovenia!

@@foxfaustel3228 it is of course better for INDOOR use, but for OUTDOOR use it can not even hold candle to a TF-500. Believe me, i tried them all. TF-1000 wears so quickly on tarmac that you would not believe how fast. You get maybe 2 half-season use out of the ball. And for that price, in Slovenia they are very expensive, they are just not worth of it. So once again, TF-500 is a perfect OUTDOOR ball. Regarding price, durability, with every use it get stickier, etc. - just perfect ball :-) Cheers from Slovenia! :-)

ADIDAS ALL COURT 3.0 is better...TF500 is good, but today ,is old...

@@B.Inem_ SPALDING TF500 is evolving, it did not stay on same material as when it came out. So i think calling it old is not fair to the ball it self. More you use it better it gets, stickier with every use. Width of channels on the spot. Ball is not to soft, not to hard. So call it old is same as if calling BMW i540 old. Car is in production now for many years but gets updated almost every year. Same with TF 500. In my opinion not one of the best but THE BEST ball that ever was produced to be used outside. Simply a perfect ball.

Hope it performs better than all the other Spalding balls I've used. (not saying they are bad but always end up getting pimples after a an year or so..)
