Hes a heavy focus on combos and dont get hit by his side b or any attack that can kill. Then once in a good percantage confirm the kill without getting damage. Just await getting into his hits.

Most Ridley are just jumping and side-B
You aren't fighting decent Ridley players i never understood why noobs like to spam his side b despite the fact it kills well its also super predictable, if I'd recommend anything it's keeping away from the ledge his ledge hang is weird in the way most moves use for two framing won't work like Lucina's Forward smash and down tilt for example

Must be noobs. I don't wanna sound cocky but I use it very differently, but I still gotta learn to be less predictable.
Ridley is a very balanced character, with good advantages, and weaknesses. He plays best patiently.
All i want is his up throw to kill its his coolest throw and it does nothing
I just wish his down a was different.
His edgegaurd is so annoying to fight against
What do i do if the ridley is stepping back my approaches with nair fair, etc.
Also how do i get up ledge when he does dsmash
You can counter his nair and fair by jumping over and coming down with an aerial, attacking from above. But if you’re little Mac that won’t work. When at the ledge, use attack get up to counter his down smash. If you’re close enough.

If he's far from the ledge, then you should be able to jump get up, and attack as you fall.
I've died to wing blitz so many times....
Your best bet is using ledge pressure his recovery is great and hard to mess with problems start from getting off ledge, never stand on ledge and hold shield your asking to get grabbed you should stand decently far away and use a projectile and keep out of his range
As a ridley main I say he is easy to beat
Most people don't know how to play Ridley that mixed with his range and ability to stuff put arial approaches makes fighting a patient and methodical very difficult

TravPlay I’m sure it will be good. I get really annoyed by my dedede main “friend”. It’s really hard to land anywhere near him or get to the ledge. And I’ve been killed by dash attack at 20% more than I can count. Oh and down throw up air is annoying. Thanks for reading and replying to my comment btw.
