    Hint for the filter, kitchen roll has a fine mesh. Finer than the sponge. Fold in half & place between the foam & plastic grid.. you will clearly see dirt/dust build up. Replace the paper is quickest than fussing weigh washing ,& drying the foam!

      Thanks mate. Yeah just don't thin the paint too much if you do thin it down. The fence paint i used had been sitting in a cold shed & was quite gloopy so I wasn't sure it would spray but it sprayed lovely

      With my other sprayer I had used a semi transparent sealant stain for my fence from the brand Valspar and just in the can it was really gummy when it sits too long all the pigments settle to the bottom as I'm sure they would sitting in the jug for the sprayer as well that's probably what happened so before you start spraying always stir with a paint stick or whatever you steal your paint with in your paint sprayer jug as well I know they make extra containers to store your paint but just like a paint can you need to keep it stirred when you go to use it

    Great review. Good looking, good value piece of kit. I am loking at a spray guns. Looking at the Erbauer EPS800 (more expensive, less capacity and only 1.8 or 2.5mm nozzels), Wagner 2369472 (similar price point, less powerful less accesories). Looks like the tilswall is the better choice.

    Another great video and actually I’ve just purchased a similar model but from Makita and cordless etc…can’t wait to use it…one question, did you have to water-down the `ronseal’ fence paint or can you use it neat?

    Great review as I have been thinking about spraying the internal doors of the house to obtain a better finish than brushed ( and quicker ) . What do you think about putting oil based gloss paint through it. Ps I think your cat walk presentation was quite impressive ( have you been secretly practising into the small hours 😁😁😁 ). Brilliant video which has pushed me more towards investigating paint spray wood rather than brushing. Thanks Mark

      Thanks mate, I've been thinking about getting one just for painting fences & decking. Was surprised just how well it worked. It says you can spray solvent based paints as well as water based but I've not tried that. As long as its not too thick I don't see why it wouldn't but can't say for sure. I will be trying other paints in the future.

      @@keithramsay3340 // no you don't. Just put water in where the paint goes and spray it to the ground, etc, until it's all cleaned out and you'll know that by it spraying clear water. Hope I'm not too late.

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Před 2 lety +1

      Aslong as the viscosity is ok I don't see a problem. You would have to mask everything else up. I think it says you can use emulsion in it

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Před rokem +1

      All I can say is check you have right size tip on depending on type of paint being sprayed, check viscosity of paint so it's not too thick & clogging tip. If still not spraying it could be faulty

  • @jaytee8188
    @jaytee8188 Před 2 lety +1

    To me it would seem that this method would use less paint than applying by hand with a brush, assuming the paint used in the sprayer isn’t thinned. Do you think this is the case?
    Great video btw, cheers.

      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Před 2 lety +1

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I didn't add any water on the video & I didn't think the fence paint would spray as it was a little gloopy but it did. It all depends on the viscosity of the paint. There is a viscosity funnel in the kit & if I remember there are some guidelines in the paperwork. I literally just put the paint in & tried it.

    Can you spray ceilings with it?

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Před 2 lety

      I can't answer that question as I've never tried. It is something I've been wondering. The tube that drops into the pot is angled so if you're tilting it downward you can angle it forward & if you're tilting it back you angle it backwards.
