In this tutorial, we'll see how to transform an image into an Awesome Smoke Photo Effect using Adobe Photoshop. The main trick to this effect is to find a good combination with the smoke brushes and the image we'll be using.

For those of you who can't liquify the layer, make sure to have the "liquify" layer visible, select the layer and then go to the "filter" tab.

If you're having trouble freezing the mask, make sure once you click on liquify filter on the right side you have the Advanced Mode checked. Then from there you freeze mask option will appear.

If you are having problems getting the Liquefy filter to run, go to your Preferences and check under Performance and see if "Use Graphics Processor" is checked. That may be the issue.

no matter what i do, my brush will not apply to my mask! i swear i have checked everything and they all match up to what you are doing in the video, the only diference is the brush that i am using is one that was pre set into photoshop.... please help :(
