2015 was the best year for Canada. Even though we lost all our games, still produced some amazing tries

If world rugby actually invested more money in not just north America but all tier 2 nations the whole of rugby would benefit there are some serious good players for those nations

Charron's try was the best! He was a beast.

The tier 2 nations need to play against the tier 1 nations more often

    • @Samizouza

Wales, Scotland, Italy and even Argentina could give them a sparring session, the other tier 1 teams would just obliterate the 2nd tier teams.

Wow #4. Undersized 11 lays down what I thought was a Fiji prop!! (Actually their 13 lol)

Ils se battent bien quand même!!! 👍❤💪💪💪

Number 3 deserved higher, number 1 was only special because there was 1 missed tackle and the team was supporting van der werhe. Pretty easy textbook try. Number 3 showed most skill and talent

Canada of course have ice hockey and American football but they are an incredible mid level rugby team! More exposure and more sponsorships are only gonna make them go strength to strength though!

Canada does _not_ have American football. Canada has Canadian "football."

Sigh, what happened to us? We've always had some great athletes and actually a decently established rugby culture. Used to have feared packs too... I really believe we get back to the top of tier 2 again

Might be issues off the field at Rugby Canada HQ me thinks.

@@Samizouza oh absolutely. Arrogance really. With our ltd budget we were still flying players in to play old boy internationals and sending teams to the Bermuda classic. These events do not develop rugby. Most decent size HS in Canada have a team. It really drops off after that. Sports do in general I guess. Despite this there is also a decent number of universities playing, but no mens national championship, there is a women's one. There was also a NPC style league 20 years ago that included teams from every province but PEI, our smallest. Rugby Canada ripped it up for a r team system. I live in a city center of 1 million. Any kid wishing to rep at a higher level must drive 4 hrs

@@Samizouza ouch that stings but is true. They aren't the only ones. We have losing streaks against Uruguay and Romania, who we used to beat. Both seemed to really develop, we didn't. Japan too actually! We used to win regularly against them.

@@canadiancontent352 At least Squidge Rugby's review on Rugby Canada's regression should give the guys at HQ something to think about on why integrity is sometimes a lot better than money.
Even Rugby Australia is in a similar situation, but hoping for the best as well for both teams.🤞

We really should have kicked on from 2015. We had some backs who could play, and the new scrum laws gave us a chance to win some first phase ball. Instead, well.......

Top 5 were really good. 10-6 were breakaways and terrible tackling. Sad that we have so few great tries to reflect back on. Just can't compete at a meaningful international level.
