I have tried 4k many times, I even purchased the internal capture card for the PC, and couldn't get it to work properly. For whatever reason I have more issues with getting a successful recording that it is worth. Recording a game like this in 4k.....really doesn't do much, other than make the capture files huge in size. I believe the native game is developed in 720p 30fps.
