Test rode one at a demo event here in Mesa, AZ and fell in love. To me, it's what I was expecting the Super Meteor to be - almost identical ergonomics and appearance as the Meteor 350, but with more oomph. Now, if RE would just ship some to Arizona already! None of the dealers in the state have any yet.
I sat on a couple of them at Engle the other day. It's exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Although I think the gunmetal Grey and drill green colors were big letdowns, the Grey is definitely blue and the green is a soupy grayish green. Even so, absolutely great looking bike and the ergonomics are perfect for me.
I have ogled the SG for months and demo ridden it three times. Just love the thing, especially in the grey. Thanks for pointing out the details and doing the night ride. Subscribed and Liked.😊
That's a nice looking bike and really happy to hear that RE have made improvents to the rear suspension. They were harsh and really off- putting for my Super Meteor test ride. Must go and try that again after my surgery. Thanks for the review, for my riding i'd lift the beam a little to better catch the roos at the side of the road but other wise it looks like a pretty effective beam.
I'm think'n RE let the original Super Meteor's out with rear shocks set on softest setting. This made larger bumps seem harsh. After I adjusted my Super Meteor rear shocks the ride was better. Even better after I installed YSS shocks on the rear. Love this new Shotgun. Wahoo!
Great video!! Gives me a lot of thought on which 650 I'm leaning towards in the future. I think that a Super Meteor 650 would be a good bike for long distance. I wish I was there at Marne for the 350 ride. I will be there after my 3000 mile service. ✌️
It has appeal. I owned an INT 650 which was mechanically excellent but the position was uncomfortable, I sold it for that reason. This looks more like the Classic, which fits me very well.
That's a nice looking bike. I like the front head light. Was that dinosaur skeleton in the background going to the bathroom or did it just look like that? Seems like someone made it to look like a dog taking a number 2.
Thank you sir for the great review as always 😊 I own a Shotgun myself and it’s a great ride for sure. May I ask about the saddlebags and how they have been fitted?!
I think the gray is the best color, and those bags look right, but I can’t see how they’re mounted. The shotgun doesn’t seem to have the same mounting points as the super meteor.
Why RE used a smaller tank than say the Himalayan's makes no sense to me. The look is eye appealing, but I personally could not ride it with my bad back. That forward lean is too much for me and the additional 100 pounds. Gorgeous looking bike, Fuzzy. A side by side with the Super Meteor would give a better visual how the Shotgun is different from the Super Meteor.

I do not know the answer to that. However, contact Jeremy at baxtercycle.com He should be able to help you out with information on this. Good guy. Always willing to help.
Got a whopper back brake on it great for blipping the throttle on the downshifts especially with a pipe on it cause you use the back brake more riding like that.I would put Halcyon adjustable mirrors on them so can have them in any position.
I would of chosen the Shotgun I reckon if out when I got the Interceptor which I had to upgrade seat, forks. For me Shotgun over Super Meteor only cause of my bad back but test riding back to back be the best way to decide.
_I don't know if the SHOTGUN is the best_ 𝙍𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 _..but it's the most beautiful. I like it best in grey._ _Often something is beautiful precisely because it is simple._

Thanks! Double Wahoo!

@forgottenmotorcycles I JUST bought my Scram in January, if I ride a shotgun I'll do something financially reprehensible.
Take for test ride & if like Trade Scram while kms are low if that's the bike you really want.Got the new Himmy coming out too if you'd prefer that.
I’ve had mine be for about a month now (it’s my first bike), and I absolutely love it
Congratulations! It's a great motorcycle. Wahoo!
I think you are the only American reviewing this bike. LOL. I am definitely looking at this one as my next bike.
It's a fabulous bike!
They're an awesome looking bike ❤
Beautiful!

Good review, I'm looking to get into getting my motorcycle license and have been looking at this bike a lot the last few weeks.
Good choice!

Thank you! Yes, that dinosaur is not house broken...lol!
It was taking a dump 💩.
I just wish they had better color options, like proper jet black with metal badges. I’d put on a different exhaust and maybe shorten the rear fender
Maybe next year? Hoping...
Thank you sir for the great review as always 😊 I own a Shotgun myself and it’s a great ride for sure. May I ask about the saddlebags and how they have been fitted?!
I think those are soft Royal Enfield Military bags. Contact Jeremy at Baxtercycle.com for details on the bags and installation on the Shotgun. Wahoo!
Great review. Iowa has the best sunsets!
Sunsets are best from the back of a bike...kinda. Double Wahoo!
Gauge cluster is lopsided ,upside down forks to leak easier and cast wheels,Space under the seat .But the pegs are in the right spot.
Got to focus on those positives, the foot pegs 🙂
I think the gray is the best color, and those bags look right, but I can’t see how they’re mounted. The shotgun doesn’t seem to have the same mounting points as the super meteor.
Yes, I would like to know about the mounting brackets as well, which ones were used?
@@kwood1112 They look like Classic 350 brackets, but not attached to anything at the rear.
Agree on the colour, very nice.
Very good looking machine. Contact Jeremy at Baxtercycle.com for information on those bags & mounts. Wahoo!
i've just bought an interceptor here in the UK and now i'm thinking should bought a shotgun 😅 maybe i'll buy one of these too
Life is better with more motorcycles. Wahoo!
PS Love the Interceptor!
I will wait for the Classic 650 before I buy another
I can't wait 🙂
Got a bit of a WW2 vibe somehow.
Yes, for sure!

Planning a video soon that will compare both bikes. Wahoo!

So are you able to use the rvm without your forearms blocking it?🤔
Not sure
