On this episode of Murphys Diesel we are recovering an Ore Cart that has gone untouched for the last 150 years! Rick Sr. (Wrecker Ricks Dad) found this Ore Cart 40 years ago and it has been on his bucket list to retrieve it ever since! We have mentioned going to look for it in previous videos and we finally made it happen! After 30+ miles of walking and searching for it, we found it. We had to use 600' of winch line to recover this on the side of a mountain!

That was the funnest recovery yet. If I was younger I would have loved to have been along for that recovery. Thought for a second you was going to need the old spare tire for a folkum trick on that rockledge. But it pulled right up and over no muss no fuss.

Thanks to you guys, I purchased a Thor’s Lightning Total Control and 4 tire air hose system and use it a LOT! Looks like you need to get a couple of them too! I believe it’s 10.6cfm also, which is unmatched. Thank you also for the clean content. My kids and I watch you guys all the time!
I know a person in Seligman that recovered the companion to that one back in the 60's he still has it in his back yard.

Rick,I found your channel as I watched Casey with you guys and gals retrieving the ore car. Heck of a job you guys. I was wondering as I saw the wheels from the car, if there was any of the old rail track it must have run on in and out of the mine. Would be cool if there is, to set the car on the old rails at the ranch.

Your dad being able to hike 33 miles is like a really big thing having the family out there It's going to be a memory that you're children will be very attached to that cart it will be worth a million to those kids

I wished I could have hung out with either of my grandfather's when I was your children's age. Such a memory for those little ones. Thanks to you, your crew, the Cowboys and Casey for making your dads' dream come true. That will be another priceless memory. If your dad is 70 then he was 30 hunting mountain lions. Are they good to eat? Or just cow munching cats? Today we have Mexican Wolves. The Chinese and Vietnamese love to eat dogs. So, US Government if they come up missing you know who ate them.

So I just got done watching Casey video and the alert for this one came up, double down on the ore cart recovery ❤. We have a lot of old logging camps and iron ore mines here in Michigan and I love exploring old abandoned sites.

Great adventure guys!! I noticed the cowboys was all spured up the whole time. I'll bet they cover a crazy amount of that country on horse back huntin for cows on ground that'll run about 5 pair to the section. As a WV hillbilly I’ve always found it fascinating how much the PNW boys have in common with us. It’s why I like watching Casey Ladell. Not so much their funny accent, but knowing how to not only survive, but to thrive on the side of a mountain. There used to be a running joke among other east coast guys that WV boys have one leg longer than the other from walking around the hills our whole life. I’ve recovered a lot of cool old sh*t from the mountain side. A lot of it I’m still curious as to how it got there to begin with. I’m talking about old vehicles cut in half bumper to bumper and put in front of a slip to keep it from taking out the whole hillside.
That’s funny! Some days I feel like it! We get a lot of junk out in the woods around here too.
@@MURPHYSDIESEL no doubt. Trucking out west is my favorite. One day I hope to leave Florida and move out there to the desert. I stop in various spots along I-40 and I-10 and look around. You guys are super lucky out there to have everything preserved so well. I’m a classic car nut and geek out every time I find an old car that’s set out in the desert for 50 years or more the best I can tell and it appears to be more solid than our 5-10 year old cars over here. There’s a bunch of them out in the deserts of So Cal.
